Ditto on Amie's Responce to your post,,I think it would be difficult for the surgeon to do a Rny Laproscopic if you liver is enlarged,,i know a woman that didnt diet pre op went in planning to have lap Rny and ended up having open Rny because her liver was to enlarged For the instruments to get under the liver and such.so she has scars from both. I am on day 2 of pre op diet,,it is hard but i sleep alot to pass the time so i dont get too stressed..Seriously i sleep between 12 to 16 hours a day then when i am up i keep busy washing floors and since its spring now,,been doing the spring cleaning thing,,( been cleaning out closets and reorganising and even moving around furniture) so i get in some exercise;and drink alot of fluids to keep that full feeling..God Bless you ,,and may he give you strength to continue your journey and be well,,hugs ....Wendy

I have been looking for lap banders to talk too. I have not had the surgery yet. Can you tell me what it was like after the surgery? Was there pain? Were you weak, etc?
Thanks for anything you can tell me!

Topic: Banded with Dr. K. in Los Angeles anyone?
I am in the "hoping to be banded" process with Dr. Khalili at Cedars Sinai. Has anyone here been banded by him? Provided surgery response time is good, (1-2 weeks). What was the timeline like according to his availablity? I guess I'm a little anxious to get this done, even though I am making sure I'm keeping my feet grounded. Also, just a little curious.

Hello Lisa. I will be going for my pre-op at the surgeon's office & hospital that day so I will be thinking about you & praying for a safe surgery and a super fast recovery.

HI! I know exactly how you are feeling. I am having surgery the 20th and the excitement is definitely building. I have tried to stay focused on getting things a little more organized around the house like cabinets and drawers, getting my supplements lined up and ready for after surgery, packing my bag for the hospital and making sure that I have everything I want to take and reading up on all of the boards on here.
Have fun & enjoy the excitement of the life change we are about to embark upon.

Topic: March 20th surgery people... HI!!! Checking in...
I just wanted to check in with my fellow March 20th people. How are ya'll doing? I hope things are falling into place nicely for everyone.
Do you have your bags packed yet?
How about liquid diets... how many days do you have to do & are you geared up and ready for that? I have to do 5 & I still have to do my shopping for that & for the post-op weeks.
I have still been sick. It started out as a sinus infection but then I could feel it in my chest. My doc called in antibiotics & a decongestant for me so it is starting to get a little better. I hope it is all clear by my pre-op Tuesday. I don't want any delays.
I hope to hear back from everyone.
