I am 145 lbs now from 284lbs in March. People do not recognize me, only by my voice. I feel as though I am mourning the other half of me that is gone. I know it will take time to get through this, didn't think the emotional part would be this hard. I am not the same person.

Wow you rock! And from what I understand we can mourn losing ourselves. And it takes time for the head to catch up to the body! 2 of my sis's and their hubby's of 20 0r more years didn't recognize me walking across the street last weekend. I hadn't seen them in about 3 months....boy was I thrilled. Can you get any counseling to help you through this transition? If it weren't for my excellent medical team...I would be in counseling now and may do it in the future. Keep up the good work! CarolynK

Congratulations on your weight loss - I'm sorry that you feel a little down about it. I certainly do not miss 84 pounds that are gone, but I think I know what you mean. Do you think your sadness comes from the fact that people treat you differently now?

Keep up the great work. If I could give you any advice it would be this: fill your holiday season with giving to those who are less fortunate than you, and you will have the biggest emotional pick up of your life! Merry Christmas!! --Dave
