I'm a newbie posting here....
Hi everyone! I'm so used to posting on the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy forum that I never saw this forum before. I'm in the ole routine of mouse clicking til I get to the VSG forum.
Just wanted to introduce myself. Michelle from Hanapepe, Kauai, Hawaii. I had VSG surgery on 3/27/07 in San Fran. I hope to post here more often now that I know it exists!!
Nice to meet all of you.
aloha,
michelle

Hi Carolyn! Glad someone responded. I think this board is as slow as the Hawaii board that I tried to get going. I usually hang out in the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy board and chatroom.
I'm a 35 yr old going into a typical Hawaii winter which is the same degrees as the rest of the year......usually 80's.....luv it!
Surgery weight 221
Current weight 143
Personal goal 135
Height 5'3"
Question, do RNY'ers usually eat 4 oz of food each meal as well? That seems to be my maximum capacity for food. But if i eat something heavier, like chicken...then it's much less. Tossed salad greens and popcorn i can eat way more cause i think it just squishes down.
aloha,
michelle
Yes we are a tad slow here but we are here! lol
As for 4 oz, the denser the food the less I can eat. Soups, popcorn, protein pudding I can eat more of but I try not too.
It leads me on the road to temptation and man I sure don't need that!
The more liquidy our foods the more we can consume. It goes out quicker
