Anybody out there have any tips on how to get re-motivated when it comes to exercise and working out? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If possible, find someone to exercise with. I have a friend at work who goes religiously. If she didn't go, I know I wouldn't either. Can you help me with motivation tips for the nighttime munchies?

Here's what I do: Sometimes I'll drink some water, and it will bide off my hunger. If that doesn't work, I try to eat a snack high in grains, such as few Triscuit crackers or a few Sun chips. The high grains seem to sit in my stomach and make me feel full longer. The fiber also helps digestion. I'll have to try to find a workout buddy...somehow I wonder if that's easier for ladies than guys. --Dave

There are actually three of us that go the gym from my office. The girl I mentioned is our motivator, but the third is a guy. And the lunch hour is a great time to go too. The excuses of why you can't exercise just don't seem to be there, like in the morning or after work. And yes, we joke that maybe we don't smell so great (nothing a little bath and body works lotion and deodorant can't mask), but at least we are healthy!

You didn't say what kind of work-outs you prefer...but I walk on the treadmill with my ipod blasting my favorite songs. I used to read magazines the entire time, but now I read books and the time goes by much faster. I alternate between focusing on the music and reading...having kids taught me to tune out the music when I'm reading...then when a really good song comes on...I pick up the pace and focus on the song. I read about a website to download good exercise music for whatever pace you want...but can't for the life of me find it. Julie

I don't think of it as exercise anymore. I changed my head to think that this is just part of my morning like showering, brushing my teeth, etc. So everyday, I get up, get the kid up and to school, get dressed and get in the car. When I get to the track, walking 5 miles is easy!!! And I always feel great afterwards. My results are motivation enough to keep me going!! And when all else fails..........Pull out those old before photos!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck, lora
