The first 6 months
Hey my March 07 family. I haven't been around in awhile. I would like to know how did everybody do in there first 6 months. I will start off.
I had my surgery 03/02/07 my surgery weight was 264. My 6 months was smooth sailing for me. I enjoyed every last minute of it. Not excersing as much as I would like but is still stay active. I am now doing 100 grams of protein a day. Still struggling to get my vitamins in everyday, that is what I am struggling in.
I now weigh 185 and I am in a loose 14 on my way to a 12 very, very, soon. The weather is getting cooler her in VA and I need winter clothes or fall clothes and I have none. Time to go shopping.
Ok, who is next. please tell us how was your first 6 months was.

Congratulations!!! I had surgery on 3/13. I had some complications and spent a little time in the I.C.U., but I bounced back quickly! I have lost 70 pounds, from 220 to 150. (One more ounce to lose to get into the 140s!) I have gone from a size 18/20 to a 8/10. In fact, today is a milestone for me. I am wearing a pair of size 8 pants at work. That's right - single digit pants!! I exercise (running 2-3 miles). I do okay on my vitamins and I have no idea how much protein I eat as I don't keep track. However, I feel great so I must be doing something right.
I had surgery on 3/13 and then had complications and another surgery on 4/2 when I eviscerated myself. My family laughs about me coughing my guts out, but I too survived it. Spent 4 weeks in hospital and now have a big hernia named Babbette. I now look like I am 9 months pregnant instead of fat
I can not do much exercising other then walking because of dear Babbette, but I started my journey Last July at 360. Surgery at 333. Present time 239 Goal 150
Again because of Babbette I have no idea what size I wear. To get anything over her I am in a 1x and that is tight over tummy and hangs everywhere else. But I need to wait until next year for repair. I will have excess tummy skin removed at the same time
I am not shopping for anything more then necessities right now, and fortunately I do not work so a couple of pair of jeans and t's do just fine.
I should have done this years ago!
Hey Carolyn, sorry about your headache Babette. I hope everything turns out ok for you. 239 is still good considering. Let pray that the next 6 months will be a better journey for you.
What size do you wear, I might can donate some clothes that I can fit anymore to you to you.... send me a message on the back line.

I had surgery March 26. I weighed 339 on that date, my highest weight was 355. I am now down to 253 which is a total of 102 lbs. I go for my 6 month check up on Friday. I do pretty good getting my protien and water in and all my supplements.
I am walking 2 to 2 1/2 miles on the weekends and I power walk 1/2 mile during the week. I started out in a size 4x to 5x and now I wear a 1x.
I am so thankful I had this surgery.
