How do you track your progress?
i only get on a scale at the doctors office. i don't weigh here at all!! so i got weighed last week and it was the first time in 2 months. this way i don't know about the stalls and i never get bummed. i am a bit sorry about not measuring pre-op--so i just know that i am losing by my clothes! last weekend i bought a pair of jeans---with a button and a zipper---and a size 14!!! that's proof enough for me. and the lady at catherines told me i really shouldn't bother shopping there anymore cause size 14 is their smallest size--yahoo!!
i have not had any new pictures taken of me since my wls--but i guess i should do it soon.
so there you have how i track my progress--but the most valuable way to realize my progress is how i feel....awesome!! i walk 2.5 miles every morning and love it. and i am never out of breath!!!!!!
yipee and yahoo for wls!

Good question:
When you asked this, my first thought was "all of the above." Then, after I thought about it a little more, I realizes that tracking progress really depends on what your goals are. Sure, losing weight is on everyone's list, but is that really the main reason I got this surgery? NO. I had surgery to get a more healthy lifestyle. With this in mind, my true progress is in how much healthier my lifestyle is compared to what it was like pre-surgery.
Anyway--need to increase the exercise and start enjoying my now lighter body!

Hey Bernie
The results of bloodwork are really what tell me I'm doing better. Sure my clothes are falling off me and the scale and tape measure are revealing lower numbers these days, but my goal was to be healthy again and the bloodwork tells the tale!
I weigh and measure myself once a week - more to set personal short-term goals and make sure what I'm eating and doing activity-wise is effective.
