I am not sure why I never posted or even visited this forum before, but I am here now and believe better late than never. I read over some of the postings and feel like I'm home. So here I am--RNY laparoscopy--date 3/12/07 and I feel great. I am down almost 80 pounds and that includes the 17 lbs. Lost pre-op (consult 11-1-06). I didn't do any measurements, although I just bought jeans (with a zipper and snap) in a size 14-woohoo!! Rings are big, no bra overflow, and shoe size is down 1 1/2 sizes--what's that about? I also walk 2 1/2 miles almost everyday. And finally--I will be 51 next month!! I feel 30 again!! Hugs to all! Lora

Woo Hoo!!! I am just a day behind you and I have lost 73 lbs so far...post surgery 102 since my largest size before surgery! I have had a couple of complications with incision/infection so I have been on bedrest but I am 56 and I sure don't feel it! Congrats!

Congrats on the weight lost, and how far you've come in this short period of time. Great to see you hear on the board. Come back often to let us know how you're doing. We share our struggles and triumphs here on this board. My wife, Jodell, and I both had RNY done in March of this year, and are doing great...most days. Last week I passed my 100 lbs lost mark, and am nearing my goal weight. Combined, Jodell and I have lost over 150 lbs!!!! We too have enjoyed the fabulous feeling of dropping the clothes sizes. I can honestly say that I can wear NONE of my presurgery clothes. --Dave
