I have lost 45 lbs so far. I am almost haf way there. People have started to notice my weightloss. Isn't it fun when some notices you have lost weight. One thing that has surprised me is my shape. Everything is the same shape in porportion to what it use to be. I will be so glad when that changes. So, tell me your wow moments. Who has noticed you have lost weight. Brenda

I was talking to my oldest daug last night about family activities coming up. I said I guess I would wear the same thing to my niece to be's bridal shower tomorrow and to my grandson's graduation party next Sun. She said the way you are dropping it probably won't fit! And don't go shopping for anything to wear to wedding on July 14th until that week! I threw away oversized bras last week after digging out some 2 sizes smaller from before. There are so many mini wow's that it is hard to list them all right now.... I am down 70 lbs so far but I have another 110 to go....so wow's will be adding up! Carolyn

I got tons of compliments this week from a bariatric surgeon... I'm quite ecstatic considering I have lost 75 lbs and am down 5 sizes. It's the first time he's really said anything and he was just wow'd when he saw me and I was tickled!

It wasn't until I hit the 60 lb. mark that someone noticed!! And even then.....alot of people said "did you change your hair?" I have lost 71 lbs and yesterday someone said to me "are you sick?" I could have kicked him!! Shelley

I have lost 80 pounds since surgery, 130 including the 50 I lost the three months before surgery. I, myself, notice everything I've lost. I no longer see the person I was in the mirror. I never had a problem seeing the new me. The best outside notice of my weight loss happened just a couple of weeks ago. My mother works with someone who had the surgery a couple of years ago. She gave me a lot of good information about what to expect. I hadn't seen her since February or so, but my mother said she really wanted to see me again (she works in a vision store on the nearby Redstone Arsenal.) On this particular day, I saw her working in the store and tried to get her attention. She didn't notice me, so I thought that she just couldn't see me. So I walked into the store. I stood there fore a second smiling at her. She said, "May I help you, sir?" I just kept smiling at her. She had a bewildered look on her face, like, "Who is this weirdo?" Then she asked if she could help me again. Then, her eyes opened wide and she gasped. "Oh, my God!" she said. She didn't even know who I was. We hugged and she congratulated me. This wasn't the first time that I wasn't recognized by someone who I hadn't seen in a while, but it was the most dramatic. It's kind of fun, like an exciting adventure. Who knows what the future holds? Congratulations to everybody on their successes! Chris

Yes, and it is sooooo good!! My church family, friends at work, and my other friends and family compliment me all the time and I love it because I had become a prisoner of a body that I did not like any more. I have lost 8 inches in my waist and don't think I can have my suits taken up any more. My big joke has been that I was going to take my pants up till there was only one pocket in the back.(LOL) But, it looks like that is not gonna work as the legs look like balloons now and my suit coats wrap around me now. My biggest wow moment is that the diabetes that had me bound is in remission and my PCP says in about 40 more pounds she will probably take me off my BP meds and send me for a new sleep test to retire my CPAP machine. I want to praise God for healing my afflictions and giving me a new life. I am now able to travel again to minister God's Word and do many other things I had once given up as gone. I could not have a much bigger WOW than that. God Bless you in your success too Berinie and may He keep you happy, healthy and safe.

I'm down 100 pounds from my highest weight, and I think everyone who knows me has noticed a dramatic difference. What's more exciting is when people I really don't know very well notice, and make comments. As I've mentioned in my previous posts, my life has been energized, and opportunities at work have opened up. Life at home has also improved, as both Jodell and I have increased energy, and we've pulled together as we've lost weight together since March. --Dave

It is fun--isn't it? I have lost 70 pounds and people can't believe the changes. I have people telling me--wow--you actually dress different now. I always tried to dress stylish, but I was wearing things to try to "hide" myself. . . Now, I prefer wearing dresses that show my figure and such. I still have 40 pounds to go until goal, but I feel so much better about myself :). I went home and saw everyone for the first time since Christmas. . . way before my surgery. People couldn't believe the changes, so that made me feel really good :).
