As of yesterday, I'm 2 months out, and have lost 67 pounds. I'm feeling great, and have adapted into my new diet. Energy levels have increased as long as I make sure to get all of my liquids and protein in. 67 pounds is HUGE for me because it gets past my half way point to goal!!! I've now had to purchase new clothes, and I went from a 52 waist size down to a 44 waist size. Although the 44's were kind of snug when I bought them, they are already starting to look "loose." As many of you may be aware, my wife (Jodell) had RNY 2 weeks after me (3-27). She is doing fabulous, and has lost a total of 35 pounds. We went shopping for her too, and she fit into some sizes she didn't think possible 6 weeks out from surgery. Our lives have definately changed, as they no longer revolve around food. Been doing great with water, protein, and vitamins. I'd like to say I'm exercising, but I'm trying to take it easy until a few more weeks pass. Our lives keep us pretty buzy with our 4 children ages 1 through 8. --Dave

Thanks for your comment! I am having no problems getting used to my new life. The hardest thing for me is realizing how much of life I've been missing just because I was overweight. I didn't realize the extent to which I was addicted to food and sugars. Lately, I've found that I am coming up with new interests to spend my time doing. --Dave

Congratulations to both of you. I'm glad you are doing so well. I will be 1 month out in a week and have lost 41 pounds. This surgery really does change lives, doesn't it? i tell everyone that I am no longer a slave to food - I can take it or leave it without feeling guilty when I do eat (because I make a healthy choice and because I am fueling my body now) and nt feeling like I am missing out then I don't eat (I just don't want all that unhealthy stuff in my body any more). It's awesome! Keep the good work! ~Robin

Robin, I can totally relate with what you are saying about food. Before, the food controlled me, and now I control my food choices. What a difference it makes! --Dave
