Where is everyone????? ROLE CALL!!!
Georgeanne here, surgery TWO MONTHS AGO TODAY, holy crap!! lol (3/12/07)
294/248/180 26.5 inches lost!
My struggles include getting in enough water and eating slowly. I have been branching out and experimenting with different foods, trying not to focus on what I CAN"T have, but all the choices I can! Exercising at lunchtime with a co-worker for 30 at the YMCA and then walking or doing some sort of activity most nights. Would like to increase that to every night and work on strength training.
I am glad to hear so many of us are doing so well with this surgery. It is truly our new lease on life and we need to take advantage of it and use our new tool to its fullest!!! Power on fellow Marchers!!!

Christina Here!!!
My Struggles: Irritating my pouch, and getting sick to my stomach, throwing up!!!!
Getting in enough fluids!!!! Getting in enough protein!!!!
What I am proud of: My loss so far, -56 lbs last time I weighed.
Focus for this week: Get in more protein and water(64oz)
I think we should do this every week. If someone would start this on Fridays, and we could post over the weekend, our accomplishments for the week and our goals or focus for next week!!!
This would be a great way for us to be accountable, what do you think????

Hi everyone, Melissa here. Surgery 3/15.
Struggles, I guess eating enough, I'm usually getting in less than 300 cals a day. My surgeon won't let me drink protein shakes and I'm eating as much as I can, if I eat more I'll get sick.
Accomplishments, well I am down 56 lbs and I'm definitely not unhappy about that! I bravely posted on the CT board and asked for real buddies, I'm making times to walk locally with 2 people, so I will finally start exercising.
Goal for next week, to get in more water. I manage around 50 oz a day but I would like to work up to at least 60 a day.
277/237/150
Struggles: I definitely eat too fast. I give murderous looks to people eating sweets. I've been having food dreams.
Proud of: Getting in my excersise at least 4 times a week. Drinking right at 64 oz. 6 days out of 7. Protein is not a problem. I don't own a scale, so I only weigh once a week.
Next week's focus: reminding myself of how well things are coming.
I have good energy sometimes, but sometimes I have pretty low energy. I don't want to talk about my surgery at work as much as people want to talk to me about it.
Hi Rita,
I think I suck with the eating thing. I don't over eat anymore because I hate how that feels but I think I still eat too fast if I sit at the table and eat. I do better when I fix my plate and take a bight when I go back in the kitchen, like I am doing now. I am getting the protein because I still eat chicken and I do have some unflavored soy powder that I make smoothies with. I drink a lot of Crystal Light so I get the water. I am still trying to make the right eating choices and I am truly struggling with not being able to eat and drink at the same time.
Other than that I think I am doing great in the exercise department. I get at least 2 days of workout in even if it is just a walk...100% more than before surgery.

Kat's here... sig line shows weight currently... I dunno how many inches lost... was 9 inches at 6 weeks postop (that's almost a month ago now).
BIGGEST STRUGGLE: Exercise... I can't seem to make myself do JUST exercise... I do a lot of walking at the zoo or at the aquarium, or going kayaking, but to make myself just exercise for my weight loss... isn't happening.
More Struggles: Everything else related to our lifestyle changes...
I'm finding *I* am my biggest hurdle... I get too lazy to record my protein (though I know I get it all in). Water I measure in bottles so that's easy but I'm only getting in about 50 oz a day... at least I've figured out what was making me so sick... no more eggs, no more beef, for a while...
What I'm proud of: not much... weight loss has been tremendous, but it comes in spurts when I'm doing EVERYTHING right... but those spurts seem pretty scarce.
Kat
Wowowowowowow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone is doing soooo wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you all are doing great and it is really helpful to record our struggles. It gets them down in black and white and then we really know what we need to work on. Also I think it is important to record what we are proud of because it helps us to realize that no matter how frustrated we are at the moment with what we are NOT doing right we can realize that we are doing something right!!!
I agree lets do this every week on Friday!!!
Hope everyone has a FABULOUS week and I know that this week we will try our best and work on our struggles and have good things to report this Friday!
Happy losing!!!
Rita
Hey Gang!
323/272/160
I struggle with eating too fast when I sit down with the family. I also struggle with getting the water in - but I am paying more attention to that! My energy was very low for the past few weeks, but things are improving now so I hope to start excersizing.
What I am proud of: My husband can't stop telling me how great I look and my little brother who is a Jr. in high school visited me on Saturday and said, "You look different!" You know most men don't notice when people lose weight... so I thought that was a great compliment.
Focus for next week: trying to get more water in and start excersizing!
Take care everyone!
Amie
Hi Rita,
I noticed the same thing. We are not on here that often and we really need to stick by each other. We are like family now. We need to support each.
Montego's here 260/219/160 not sure about inches lost.
Struggles: Still not getting enough protein in, I have been at a stall for the last 3 weeks
What I'm proud of: losing the 40 pounds, walking for 45 minutes now instead of the 20 that I was always use to.
Focus for next week: stepping up my protein whether it taste good or not.
We need to check in like this at least once a week....
