2 month Follow up...
Hey Guys,
I had my 2 months follow up with the surgeon and he was very satified with me so far. I lost 40 pounds but I gained like 2 pound back which I am confused to why but overall he was pleased. He just would like for me to drink more water and try to get in more protein daily. I am trying but it is really hard when nothing taste good right now. He also wants me to do a 1200 calorie diet. I was like 1200... WOW!!! I am barley getting in 750 and he wants me to do 1200. I was like ok I will do whatever you want me to do. My personel goal right now is trying to get in more protein via food or drinks. I have to stay positive. I still don't understand the 2 lbs gain but I am good as long as it is not all coming back on. I am walking everyday lunch and at home. My job is doing The Biggest Loser the winner gets $300 so I am doing that. I just want to stay motivated. I am now down to 219 so he wants me to come back in 2 months, I hope I will have the 19 pounds gone by time I go back in July.
Just wanted to update everyone

Hi Montego...congratulations on your weight loss! I can't imagine getting 1200 calories in a day. Wow! I have found that the New Whey protein bullets help a lot w/ the protein totals. They sell one that has 42 grams of protein and is 176 calories. They have another that's 25 gms of protein and 100 calories. They're a lifesaver! They're sold in test tube shaped containers at vitamin shops. As far as the liquid goes, Crystal light helps me get the fluid in. I'm impressed with your walking regimen. I'm still having problems getting that aspect of my plan fully in gear. Anyway, best of luck and keep checking in!

I lost alot of weight right after surgery and then I only lost a little and I was really dissapointed. My surgeon explained that it was because I was dehydrated at first which made it look like I had lost alot of weight. The next weigh in made it look like I didn't lose alot when I actually had because I was rehydrated. My guess is that before you were dehydrated and your 2 lbs regain might be because you were able to get in more water. One gallon of water weighs 8 lbs. Good luck with everything!

This is so cool. I had my surgery on March 8th and I hit 214 this morning. I am down 39 lbs. The same thing happened to me with the fast lose then almost nothing. I lost 26 lbs in the first four weeks then only 7 in the next four. They told me I had to get my calories up to 700 to 1200 also. I started eating more and lost 6 lbs in the last week. Hang in there, you'll lose those 19 lbs in no time. It is so cool finding someone who is close to my surgery date and doing so similar to what I am as far as the weight loss. I about flipped when I only lost 7 lbs in 4 weeks. Aparently we are both right on track. Keep up the good work.

Yay!! I'm so glad to hear about how you all are doing too!!! I am right there with all of you with the fast start and stall. I have decided it has something to do with the monthly visitor! I started at 311 and last friday I was at 274.6 (-37 lbs). That was at six weeks. This morning a week later I weigh 276.8!! EEEEEK! BUT I am on my period and bloated terribly so I know its water weight. I didn't realize a gallon of water weighed so much! Before surgery I would always gain exactly five lbs on my period and then it would drop off within a couple of days. So that means I really have lost weight this week so I can't weight to see those lbs come off!
You are all doing great!
