New to Board--5 weeks post-op
Hi, Everyone! I had my Roux-en-Y laparascopically at OHSU five weeks ago and have lost 35 pounds. I started as a size 24 and am now an 18/20. I tried on a dress that was 1X (rather than 3X) and was amazed that it fit me!
I am now almost at the point where my physician says its okay to begin serious aerobic exercise (at 6 weeks post-op) and am looking forward to that. Has anyone else begun to exercise, and how is it going?
I have just ordered the New Whey Protein Bullets and can't wait to try them. I have been finding it rather difficult to get as much protein as required, and hate the thought of my hair falling out because I can't get it all in!

Congrats on the weight loss and the clothing changes. Jodell and I have had recent fun in trying on new sizes of clothes that wouldn't have fit in our dreams a couple months ago.
We also bought some of the new whey. It has lots of protein, but is very thick kind of like cough syrup.
Welcome to the board!

I just bought a few of these yesterday to try, thanks for the tip about the water, I have one with me here at work to get in at some point today. Before, I was doing the protien powder as a morning shake for breakfast, but got bored with the taste after about two weeks.
I will let you know what I think about these so called magic bullets!!

Hi Heather.
Good for you on your weight loss....wonderful.
I am cleared to do any exercise that I choose. I must say though, I'm a liitle wary of participating in abdominal exercises. The thought kind of gives me the creeps...as if I might pull out my ligaments or something.
Take Care And Continued Success~~
