actigol?
I've been taking it since I had surgery 5 weeks ago. At first I just opened the capsules and poured the powder onto the back of my tongue and swallowed it with some ater. Now I just take the capsule whole. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I take my calcium in capsule form now too.
Good Luck,
Robin
Well I've been taking tablets - a new course of antibios to clear up my wounds, my anti dep and something else, and nothing seems to be bothering my tum. Iin fact, nothing at all seems to bother it, which in itself is a bit of a worry. I'm only two weeks out and I can take basically anything that I chew very well. I'm trying not to, and just stick to the liquid diet but yesterday had toast and avocado pear, and a quarter of a mac cheese burger - which I won't be doing again in a hurry.
Tara I am 5 weeks out and I am not allow to take a pill or a capsule. I have to take my liquid Ranitidine syrup, Actigall and multivitamins twice each day. First of all I have to take Actigal by opening up the capsule and pouring it over my sugar free pudding each night. i keep a snack pak just for that each day the top half i mix the atigall in and the bottom half sort of washes it down. I also sometimes crush my flinstones vitamin and add it in.
I had the hardest time with my Actigal it was making me nausous and causing me to throw up. My dr. has allowed me to temporarily take it only once per day instead of twice. He said that most of his patients have the hardest time with the actigall. I tried the crystal lite thing and it didn't work either, and the dr said you can't be sure you are getting all of it in a drink because it sticks to the sides and bottom. So just sprinkle it on any food that you can stomach.
I am not sure about anyone else's dr. but I was told that with RNY you probably should not ever take pills in hard form again because of the changes in the function and size of the stomach. I had to switch all my meds from pill to liquid or crushable tablet form.
I would definately speak with your dr. to determine his recommendation.
Good Luck.
