whatcha eating today?
Hi Vivian,
I'm sorry you're not feeling good.
HI had my protein shake this morning (Protizyme - dutch choc -- very good!) with milk in a blender - 32g of protein. Last night I went to Outback and got their Alice Springs Chicken (grilled marinated chicken with bacon and cheese melted over it) with honey mustard sauce -- YUMMY! with a bake potato. So I'll probably reheat some of that as I could only eat about 1/3 of it last night. I'm trying a pilates class tonight (first time) so I'll have some tuna after class for dinner.
Have you tried grilling salmon, mahi mahi or any other types of fish other than tuna? Roasted, baked or mashed potatos sit well with me I just can't do any pepper or spices. I even tried some broccoli - steamed it and then chopped it up with cheese in my mini food processor - it was yummy and stayed down.
I hope that gives you some ideas. I'm tired of chicken but can't do red meats yet - they just won't sit well at all.

I'm no help as I haven't eaten much interesting yet but I had a protein shake for breakfast, I drink the Isopure creamy vanilla kind, it's the only one I can stand the flavor of and for lunch I had 4 strawberries and an ounce of cheese.
I have been super bored with my food options and feel like everything that I can eat I don't like, but in another thread here a Robin posted her version of a cheeseburger and that sounds really yummy to me, even if I can only eat a couple bites I think it will make me feel a little happiness about food again so I am going to make it tonight for dinner.
Hi Vivian,
So far...
Breakfast: yogurt and a few cashews
Lunch: chicken fajitas (chicken, grilled onion, grilled bell peppers)
Dinner: chicken fajita leftovers!
I marinated some salmon last night in soy sauce and some asian dressing - that was pretty good. At the deli counter I'll ask for thick slices of low sodium turkey and reduced fat cheese to make a roll-up or two for lunch sometimes. I can't have citrucy fruits yet, but I'll put other kinds in cottage cheese for a sweet dessert type taste.
Eating out is rough. I love Mexican food, so being able to eat fajitas has been a saving grace for me! I don't do well with shrimp, but if I did I'd have fajitas with them too.
Many people say Wendy's chili works for them, but my doc doesn't allow tomatoes until 4 months out. At Taco Bell you might be able to get away with the Pintos and Cheese, if that kind of thing agrees with you.
I'd worry about KFC being too salty, not to mention the breading. Just keep a mental note of what makes you sick, and stay away. Good luck and hope you feel better!

Hi...I feel so behind! chicken has made me sick so far as has ground turkey. My new discovery today is fake italian food. 1/4 to 1/2 cup of part skim ricotta cheese with some pasta sauce over it. microwave for a minute or so. Yummy!!
I was told to wait at least another week before trying chicken again. But I've lost 32 pounds since my surgery so I'm NOT complaining
