I'm 5 weeks out in the morning. I lost 20 lbs. I can't do protein it sits in my chest, and I have the same problem with water. My dr said to add lemon do you or did you have this problem. As far as the food choices. I tried the Wendy's chili, and it stayed down great.

thanks! the protein poswder drinks just gag me..in fact nothing appeals to me really. I have also tried wendys chilli and it was great..I could only eat about half though...I added grated cheese ( you can order it that way) and it adds protein..good idea for lunch tomorrow though!!--had not heard about lemon, but i will try it as , water is still hard for me to get enough in.... keep it up...you will do well.

I was using the unjury powder. It was ok but now I can't do it. I'm only doing 2-3 bites from any meal. I wonder why so little. Everyone tell me that is not a lot of food intake to get energy. I'm drinking a lot of calories becuase I'm drinking the vitamine water that is the only liquid i can keep down. Thier about 130 calaories a bottle. I can do one and a half to two bottles a day.

Try these protein bullets (IDS New-Whey Liquid Protein). I love them. They are available in 25g protein for 100 cal with no fat and no carbs at this website http://www.wholesalesupplementstore.com/new-whey-liquidprotein.html , or if you just want to buy a couple to try them, go to The Vitamin Shoppe. They sell them individually there. Good Luck, Robin

I am 5 weeks out too and I was beginning to think something was wrong with me. I only lost about 20lbs too and I was getting upset because everyone else seems to be losing so much more. I am not really having problems with intake. Only chicken not going down. I kind of wish I had some eating issues because in my mind i am still eating too much. I eat a wwwwwwwwwwhole lot less than I used too but I notice that I am getting hungry more often. I think I want to bring it back to the puree diet. Necole 264/245/139

Hi There, I will be five weeks out on Wednesday, and I have lost 30 pounds too. I had my own version of a cheeseburger the other day, and it was delicious. I browned some extra lean ground beef, drained it, melted a slice of 2% American Cheese over it 2 oz. of the ground beef, dotted it with mustard and ketchup, and even a little chopped dill pickle, and it was fantastic. It satisfied my craving for a burger from Wendy's too. Have you tried making chicken salad, or homemade lowfat pimento cheese, or egg salad? They are all really great too. How about tuna sashimi - I have been eating a lot of that lately because it is so high in protein and low in fat. I seem to be able to digest it really well too. Oh yeah - try some lowfat cottage cheese with some canned peaches in light syrup. If you are wanting dessert try layering fat free sugar free vanilla (or whatever flavor you like) pudding with strawberries (or whatever fruit you like), sugar free cool whip, and sugar free angel food cake in a large trifle bowl. It is really good and only takes a little bit to satisfy a sweet tooth. Hope these idea help you out some! Good Luck, Robin

Robin thanks for posting your version of a cheeseburger, it sounds so simple but I hadn't even thought of doing something like that and it sounds great. I've been bored too with the food I can eat and don't know how to make it interesting, this was helpful.

Hi. I am 5 weeks out (3/15/07) and I've lost 37.5 lbs. I was only able to get down about 17 oz of water a day for awhile. So I dropped quick. Now I am doing alot better. But it has been really hard. Sometimes I just wish I could reverse it all and go to McDonalds...its terrible to want that I know...I get through it...but it's still hard. I eat a slice of Turkey wrapped around 1oz of 2% cheese...it's really good for lunch. Sugar Free popsicles really save me...taste so yummy. I really like the great value sugar free water flavorings (fruit punch, grape). For about 4 weeks I have been dehydrated because I haven't been able to get the water down and then all of a sudden I can drink 17oz in an hour and a half if I concentrate on it. I like snacking on saltine crackers and cheese-nips. I had some microwaveable beef brisket that was just wonderful....I almost felt normal. I had a piece of wheat toast with penut butter that was really nice...took awhile to go down but great. It's all trial and error. My taste buds are completely different now so old food I loved isn't always what I'll love now. Good luck everyone! ~Christal/dionysus_star
