Nausea, Help! Anyone else feel nausea alot????
I had my surgery about 5 weeks ago now. I have been sick to my stomach alot!!!
I ended up back in the Hospital a couple of weeks ago I was so extremely sick to my stomach. So they admitted me, I was dehydrated and sick to my stomach. I felt better the next day so they let me go home. I cut back to full liquids again, I drink shakes, eat puddings, soups, etc. but often I feel very sick after I eat. I am afraid to try new things, I ate refried beans, fat-free, but it felt like they were stuck or something, I was so sick. Is any one else feeling like this. I feel ok if I stick to full liquids and take it really slow, maybe I am just super sensitive??? Any Ideas????
Christina,
I know exactly how you feel. My surgery was March 6th and it has been nausea nausea and more nausea and then a whole lot of vomiting. I have lost 52 lbs in 5 weeks, it is crazy. I had to go in and have my opening to my pouch stretched last week and this week I am still nauseated and vomiting. I hardly eat anything and I am even having trouble with fluids. I haven't been able to take my centrum chewables for five days becuase I just throw them up. My skin is flaky and dry and I am extremely exhausted. I called my surgeon yesterday and he said give it till monday and if no better to call him. I am very frustrated. It does sound like you might have a stricture though, I would call the dr and see what they think. Hopefully it will get better.

I just spent 4 days in the hospital because I was malnourished. I was very behind in my protein and really nauseated. My doc is really big on protein. I wasn't getting in the amount of protein I was supposed to. He requires his patients to get in 60-80 gms of protein in/day- no matter how...protein shakes, etc.. If you are very nauseated and can't eat, you need to contact your doc again.
Hope you feel better soon!
