Dave's lost 49 pounds!!
Just wanted to give everyone an update on how I'm doing. I've now lost 49 pounds, and still going. I'm very excited about my weight loss so far. I'm swimming in most of the pants I used to wear, and the pants that used to be too tight to wear now are baggy, and quite comfortable. I'm contemplating going and buying some more clothes, but I think I'm going to try to hold out until a few days before I go back to work.
Jodell is starting to feel better (her surgery was on 3/27). She's already lost 16 pounds. We are losers together!!!

Congratulations! You have done great work as it's not usually possible to lose that much weight the first month. You must be doing something right! Hopefully Jodell can follow in your footsteps.
My weight loss has slowed. I find it really hard to do much as I wear out quickly, otherwise I would be exercising more. I got out for a walk today since it was nice, but I'm ready for a nap. Hopefully it gets better son. I'm down 16lbs since 3/20 surgery.

I'm sure our 4 kids under the age of 8 are keeping me on my toes. The 49 pounds includes 15 pounds on my 2 week pre-surgery diet. Forgive me for including this, as I feel it is part of my surgery experience.
I had almost a whole week where I lost almost nothing. Then about a week ago I started to lose again. As for exercise, I just started to get some exercise going yesterday, as having lost the 50 pounds has increased my confidence.
Honestly, I too am so surprised I've lost this much weight that I had to post it to our discussion board. I like to think that my somewhat muscular build has increased my weight loss.

Thanks for the post!!
This is definately a journey we are doing together. I have also found it to be a chance to renew my religious focus, which has helped me with the transition to a non-food centered life. With every day that passes we thank God for all he has done for us, including making our surgeries a reality.
