I had surgery on march 26th and I feel great now 9 days out but around my largest insicion It's swollen I'm guessing that's where the port is. I was told it was normal for it to be sowllen but I was wondering how long should I expect this to be the case.

The one incision that my drain was in is still a little sore if I touch it, but not bothersome in regular activities. I had surgery on March 21st. I wish I could offer more info, but I think that we all heal at a different pace. So there's probably no "norm". Good Luck, Robin

Mine was sore for a little while too, I say about 2 weeks it should start feeling a lot better. Where my drain was took the longest to heal. Hope this helps. Mo

Yes the largest incision is where the port is ~ mine is just above and off to the side of that incision. I was banded 3/30 and have lots of bruising and tenderness. I have a pic of my belly on my profile. I feel like I've been doing sit ups for days - I really can't answer how long it will be swollen because I'm still there but check with the folks on the lap band board. Plus everybody heals and different paces. Congrats on your surgery - Its a whole new world.
