How's Everyone Doing Today???
Everything is fine over here. I really can't complain about anything except the rainy weather. That squashes the walk I was going to take with my dog. (Should I pretend that I'm sad?)
I'm just going with the flow and doing what I need to do on my eating regimen.
I learned my lesson yesterday and will not be back on that scale until my 1month checkup. I'll be darned if I'm going to let that thing dictate my day!
I am not very happy with myself because there are a million and one things I could be doing right now, but I am just not motivated. I feel very tired today. I really don't know why.
I can only blame it on the surgery for just so long...ya know what I mean? Hey - I'm trying.
Anyhow, I'll talk to you all later.
Diane
Hi Diane,
I doing pretty well today. I am sluggish today too - don't know what it is. I couldn't even get myself out of bed at my usually 6am for my walk with my hubby. So I did it by myself on the treadmill later. I actually walked for 1 hour at 4 mph - more than I have done sicen surgery. I think that is why I am soooo tired right now. I put my scale away this morning too after yesterday! Ha!Ha! I'm gonna make sure not to get back on it for at least a week.
Sorry you're feelin so low today. I have read that mood swings are pretty common after surgery because we've lost our best friend - food. I warned my hubby about it last night. He was thrilled - not!! But he said we'll get through it if and when it happens. I hope your dissatisfaction with yourself passes soon. Try to get a walk in even if you have to throw on the rain coat and take the umbrella - even if it's just a short one. It might make you feel better to get out of the house.
Take Care,
Robin
You guys are all doing so well it seems! I feel as if I am slacking on the walking..i don't know where to fit it in and I live off of a VERY busy highway where there is no place to walk. The scale was fun for a week but i have noticed the slack the past couple of days so I might do as you are doing and not get on it for awhile! So far if lost 21 pounds. Not sure if that is slow or fast by standard but i'm happy with it...people keep asking if i'm excited and I tell them "ask me in a week or two" I still have mild pain and soreness but each day gets better. Today I was tired as well...wonder if it could be the weather? It cooled of a bit here in Texas and I think over much of the country..could that be it?
Hope everyone has a blessed day tomorrow!
Rita
Hi Rita,
Sounds like you are doing fabulous! Congratulations! Sorry you are still having a little pain. I hope it passes soon for you!
Do you live near a mall? At all of our local malls they allow "mall Walkers" to enter the mall before the stores open and walk laps around the mall. That could be a really good alternative for you because it is temerature controlled and you don't have to worry about getting rained out. Or if you can afford joining the YMCA, they have all sorts of equipment you can use and classes to take. Or if you're not a "joiner" (which I am not - I'd rather work out on my own until I feel more comfortable in my skin), buy a treadmill. You can get a decent one for a pretty reasonable price these days.
Well, I wish you continued success! Keep up the good work and keep us posted!

Hi Rita. Your weight loss is awesome BTW.
I just got back from my mile walk and it is cold out for this time of year....but I did it!!!
I didn't feel like it, but I did it. Yey for me.
I was thinking of getting the DVD "Walk Away The Pounds" which my friend absolutely loves. You can do it in the comfort of your own home especially if the weather is not nice. I personally like to be outside when the weather permits.
You have to get that walking in, Rita.
Take Care!
