bc/bs exclusions

hi, can anyone tell me if they have actually been approved with bc/bs texas with a written exclusion?

I have BCBS and I was just approved thursday. I am not familiar with what exclusions are can you explain?

Many state employee policies do have a specific exclusion for WLS. Meaning that they will not pay for weight loss surgeries of any type, period. I dunno if BCBS of Texas is a state employee policy but I think that is what's being asked.

yes it has a written exclusion for wls. i'm not sure if its state insurance. my husband works for dfw airport.

i have bluecross /blue shield they do have wls exclusion but i was told by them to submit and file a appeal or grievence if it is medical reason..
