Hi...i just signed up today and my surgery is the same day as yours! I've waited so long and fought with the insurance company so much and then suddenly I got a call from my surgeon's office yesterday saying "You've been approved. How's March 27th?" Not even 2 weeks notice. Now I'm scrambling and worrying about what to have ready to drink/eat when I return, what do i need to do for my office, etc. And I'm so excited!! Hi, Boy, do I know about being excited, nervous etc. I'm scheduled for 3/29 and it seems like I've waited forever. Can't beleve two weeks from today it will be done. On to better things for all of us. Good luck in your recovery.

Good Morning, Well it looks like you and I are really travelling this road together. I am supposed to leave the hospital on March 29th but I will remember to say a prayer for you. Maybe we will be able to compare notes when we start on this new adventure. Best of luck to you.

Well Sadie, we are down to 11 nerve wrecking days. In the end, I am sure it will be worth it all.

Hi! I am right in there with you all . I am on the 29th and am so anxious yet petrified. And I have been thru this sort of thing before 20 years ago with a VBG. I guess mine was quick too. I was approved and called by the doctor on March 1st and they said they wanted to do it on the 29th. WoW! My mind is spinning as to how to be prepared. I'll be watching for updates on everyone and praying for you all!

I am just getting more and more excited as I realize that I really am not alone. For the longest time I allowed myself to believe that NO ONE would ever understand the issues involved with being overweight and what it finally takes to bring you to the decision to have WLS. I wish I had spent more time on this site before because it has been really helpful meeting people and praying right along with you. Becky I will just add you to my list of friends that need a special prayer on the 29th. I'll keep you posted and please do the same.

It is exciting, isn't it? I'm having trouble falliing asleep at night thinking about it. I'm not scared but might be closer to the GO day. I spoke to my surgeon's office assistant today who told me I definitely won't want to go to work on 3/26 (the day before surgery) b/c I'll be busy cleaning out my system. Yikes! I've never bought or had an enema. A whole host of new experiences to come. by the way, Necole, I used to live in the Fairfax area. Where are you having your surgery done? I'm in NJ now and am going to St. Barnabas. Best of luck to all of us! I hope to melt like an ice cube in the sun. :)

Hi Guys! I'm Amanda, all the way over in Perth, Western Australia. My VSG is booked in on the 27th March as well. I share a bit of both your stories in the date, and the fact that I have had only 2 weeks notice, so only 2 weeks to stress, worry and worry some more!!
