Knock, Knock...
MEMEMEMEMME!!
I'm at home, still fighting the liquids.... ready for something more mentally, but I know my 8 (almost 9) day old pouchie probably isn't. SOOO I'm taking it slow but agonizing over wanting everything BUT liquids
But I'm getting about 3-4 bottles of water a day (16 oz) and jello, blue bunny lite yogurt (YAAAY a non jello product), and protein drinks. Struggling with vitamins still, but I work on it daily....
So I'm here, and healing, and haven't seen a scale (I can't believe my parent's don't own one.... as diet freaky as my mom has been my whole life!!) SOOOO tommorrow I'm going to go weigh on a scale at GNC, just so I have a clue!

Kat...my brother lives in Red Oak, TX and I live south of there!! I will be having my surgery at Baylor Medical with Dr. Arnold....I read in another post you relocated from LA after Katrina..so sorry!! I hope you like Texas! It is my HOME and I'm glad to be back (I just moved from MI)!! Congratus on your surgery!! What type did you have?
Rita
my surgery went well. I have to agree the liquids after are hard because your mind says you need to chew something. I actually have eaten yogurt, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and different soups over the last few days and have had no problems. Hard to get all the water in and the protein shake tastes good but for some reason I have a hard time drinking it. You will do awesome with your surgery. Every day gets easier and easier. Haven't taken pain meds for four days and I feel pretty good, still get tired easily, but it is getting better.
