WOOOHOOOOOOO! I can't believe how close I am to this! I just got off the phone with my husband and he said that he is getting nervous... I know I will be a little emotional once I am sitting in the pre-op waiting room before surgery. I have so much to do before Thursday - pack for my self and the kids (they are going to stay with the in-laws for a few days), pick up the house and do some cleaning, get a pedicure - I can't have ugly toes at the hospital! Any advice to the pre-surgery jitters? Amie

I am having surgery next week and am also going through the pre-op jitters. I am glad to see someone else with kids going through this. It seems like most people are older or not married or something. It's tough when you have little ones. We are getitng help from relatives also. No advice really but just hang in there and made sure you get everything done so you don't have any questions when the time comes. I am sure I'll be a mess come Sunday and Monday too. Sherry

Yeah I've noticed not alot of people with wee-little-ones. Probably because it is difficult to have babies being morbidly overweight. I have a little miracle baby born premature (3lbs 1 oz). Nothing wrong with her is the biggest miracle. My husband took off a week to help out while I am in the hospital...then my surgery date was changed for a week and a half later so he had to take off another week. My daughter still might have to go to daycare a few days out of the week...which is fine...but its just alot of juggling and hussling around to get everything done. Everytime I clean up something or think I have something done before I have to go in for surgery my daughter tornado's through and demolishes everything. She takes her red hair and her terrible 2s very seriously! My surgery is on Thursday too. Good luck ladies and hope to see everyone looking great on the losing side of life. ~Christal/dionysus_star

My son was premature too, but weighed 7 lbs 5 oz at 36 weeks... He's a big boy and I am glad he decided to start walking before Mommy had surgery!

Just talk to friends and other people who have gone thru it... today i made another appointment with my counselor to talk about all my feelings the highs and the lows.. really helped to talk aloud about everything.

And you cannot have ugle toes at the hospital...you are absolutley right!! I don't even want to think about cleaning and packing.
