Okay what do you have to do to start a support group - there are several of us here in the Midlands who would love to be able to meet with others maybe once a week or either every other week to encourage and support each other. What are the requirements or whatever that you have to do to get started? Carolyn

It's actually not as difficult as people say. I started one in New Orleans (pre Katrina) named OHLA and moved it to Baton Rouge when I moved there temporarily (post Katrina). When I moved to Dallas/Fort Worth area, there are already so many support groups that we've had a difficult time getting members, but I'm hoping to change that with summer coming But OH-DFW is still definitely alive For more info go to: http://www.obesityhelp.com/ohsupportgroups/ You can find the Support Group Leader application and more info in that area.

Thank you so much for your response and I will check this out. You sound like you are a great inspiration to everyone in your group. Carolyn
