Daily Thread----MARCH 07 TRAIN
Hello Everyone!!!!!
On the Texas Forum they have a daily WLS TX TRAIN....its pretty neat. Everyone tells about their day and how they are doing in regard to WLS and LIFE!! It is a great support and you can tell that some wonderful friendships and bonds have been created!
I thought we could start one as MARCH07 rebirths! So I will get started!! Just jump on board whenever you can through the day and lets us know how yours is going!
Today I am anxious for the surgery. It seems to be consuming my thoughts and 17 days seems like FOREVER away! I need to focus on work!
I work as the local rep for welcome wagon in my area. I have no appointments this morning but need to spend the morning planning for a VERY big meeting I have with one of the hospitals in the area that is a client of mine. My manager will be riding along with me this afternoon and I need to focus. HOWEVER I seem to think of nothing but my surgery!!!!! Ahhhh!!!
Now as far as eating goes....Blah! I feel like I am eating everything in site. This is why that preop diet is so important to me. I have to STOP myself! I am going to give myself these next two days. Tomorrow I will be doing all of my PREOP work in Dallas so I will go out for a nice dinner there with my family and then that is it! I am going to start my healthy lifestyle on FRIDAY not the day of my surgery!
Hope everyone has a FABULOUS day and please update us on your surgeries and how you are feeling about the whole thing!
Allllll Abooooard!! (that's what they say in the TX forum and I thought it was neat)

HI there Rita!! I'll jump on the train with you (also on the Tx train). Looks like we're 1 day apart for our surgeries - mine is 3/22!
Today is a bit slow at work, which makes it easy to catch up on posts here I'm looking forward to trying a new Chicken Soup that I'm cooking today in my crock pot. Hopefully it's good enough to share the recipe.
I'm also spending a lot of time thinking/planning for the surgery. Seems like the only thing on my mind lately. As far as eating goes, I'm doing pretty good. I'm on a 95% liquid diet now (so I can lose enough to have the surgery), and I've been sticking with it almost religiously. I was having a really hard time yesterday with wanting to eat all day, but today is better (Thank goodness!!!).

For my surgery I do not have to lose any weight pre-op. That all comes after for me. I have been consumed with my surgery stuff to. I was supposed to have surgery on the 6th but my surgeon had to reschedule for the 15th. So I have been kinda wallowing in my own stress that results from rescheduling my life around a major surgery. But I am much more ok with everything right now. Thinking positive. I went walking and I plan on exercising tonight. Eating...well I am eating bad foods but not a whole bunch. I've been drinking more water here lately than I ever have so thats good. I just want to have the surgery already!!! I want to recover and start the post-op program and watch the lbs melt away. Patience is a virtue after all. ~Christal/dionysus_star
Rita--
Off we go on the March 07 Train!!! As you are aware, both my wife, Jodell, and I are scheduled for this month. My date is the 13th, and Jodell's is the 27th. All of us soon to be BIG LOSERS need to stick together!!!!
I have now been on the pre-operative diet now for almost 2 weeks. I can't tell you how tough it's been, especially at night to stick on this diet. I am hoping that it is going to help me put in the right direction. A coworker of mine had no preop diet required. He went on a big binge right before the surgery, and gained 35 pounds. Now post-op, he wishes he would have been better behaved, as it would have not only helped him with his transition after surgery. He also feels he would be 35 pounds closer to his goal weight now.
Also, I know how it can seem like forever for those last weeks to go by. I had originally planned for a Feb 20th date, but was pushed back due to insurance by 3 weeks!
