March 2007 First-born on March 2nd-What are you looking forward to?

Looks like I will be one of the March 2007 veterans because my March 2nd date is one of the first in March. I have to say that I have been battling intense fear, but with the support of others from this site, my surgeon's site and the surgeon's office, I am feeling much better. I almost think I may be getting excited. I've been thinking about all the advantages being healthy will bring me. These are some of my thoughts: My range of motion will improve for when I am exercising (too much fat in the way now). I will be able to sit with my knees crossed. Being able to purchase stylish clothes and look good in them. Having the stamina I need to do my gardening Take bicycle rides with my husband (get to go purchase the bikes to do that too) Having people comment on my weight loss when we are back out on our boat this summer Having my husband proud of me and being able to flirt with him and feel confident about it. Being able to fit into sexy lingerie. Being proud of myself for finally accomplishing something I've been working at for my whole life. If you have any of your own, share them hear. I'd love to hear them.

Gosh sounds like you've got yourself a focus list. Lets see I've been thinking about this too. My goals are Be able to chase my kids around Participate in activities with them (baseball, hiking, biking) Feeling more self confident Not being the Fat Friend Loving my body and all the new clothes I can wear Not having the pending doom feeling about my health

I am having lap-band surgery done on the same day. I am the docs first patient that day. I am nervous as well. Here are the things I forward to..... Not keeping my body hid from my husband of 30 yrs... shopping for a size of clothes that belong on people not used for a tent. playing and running with the grandkids. going for bike rides(like you need to buy one first) flying without the fear that will be charged for two going to amusement parks and ride what ever I want without being told no YOU WON'T FIT and not having people ask if your pregant
