Hi Jannine, Actually I will take anything you have. I really miss those recipes as they were quite good and exactly what I need as a WLS person. Thanks, Pam

hang in there! they say if you can wait it out for 20 min. the cravings will pass. not sure if that's true. you can do it, don't eat! or if you have to, munch on raw veggies! i've been this way all week too! are you PMS? i'm heading to the gym now, hopefully that will help me. hope your munchies get better! hugs!

I thought all you NH folks were Libertarians!? (makes me want to move there, lol!) Sorry guys, but I HAVE to go with Hillary. And yes, it's JUST b/c she's a woman. My feminist roots made me do it!

Okay. It's 10:18 a.m. and I want to eat something. I'm not hungry. I've had a good breakfast. It's not time to eat. But the urge to eat is soooo strong! This is what used to happen to me before surgery. I hate it! I've walked around the building. I've tried to get into some work stuff. I'm drinking so that's not it. I had my morning snack earlier this morning after my workout at the gym. Sigh. I'm not going to eat anything. I know that I don't need it and shouldn't eat anything until lunch. I just feel like I'm waiting for the next meal which is how I always felt pre-surgery. I'll survive. Just wanted to vent. Thanks! Stephanie

OUCH! I'm so sorry that you fell. It was slippery this morning at my house too. I'm so glad that you don't have permanent damage and made it to work! Hugs for banged and bruised you, Stephanie

I have to vote today after work. I have to say that I'll be glad when today is over! We get at least six phone calls per night asking who we are voting for. On Saturday, I had four campaigners stop by the house. I didn't mind that so much. I applaud people who are willing to be out in the frigid temperatures stumping for causes and people they believe in. The phone calls, however, are mostly from people being paid to bother me! The local calls are fine. But one dude called from Florida and wouldn't let me hang up! I've tried to be nice, but sometimes it's tough! My vote today will be for Barack Obama. Hugs, Stephanie

Rick, congratulations! It sounds like a very successful experiement for you and exactly what you needed to help yourself get back on track. I'm one of those who doesn't think I could make it through the first two days. I'd be fine after that. Thanks for sharing great information. I'm going to tuck the info away in case I can't seem to start the scale moving downward. I'm hoping that my switch to salad with protein for lunches and cutting out starch from dinners for five out of seven days coupled with the increase in exercise will do the trick. We'll see! Way to go! Hugs, Stephanie

Ruth Ann, I love how quickly the eliptical burns calories!! I was on the eliptical at my gym this morning for 30 minutes and burned 333 calories. That's a great return on my investment! I can really push myself some days and I think this machine gives me the best cardio workout of all of them. My husband has also started using it at the gym. It kicks his butt (as it does mine!) but he loves it! Good luck! Hugs, Stephanie
