mmmm we're both enjoying shrimp and mango salad, good stuff! I read the grad board about people gaining after their second year and get worried too, but we have a great support system on our board I honestly think thats why we've all been so successful! I've checked out March boards for previous years and they're ghost towns.. I hope that never happens with our group!

That's funny, I didn't really set any WL related goals this year. That's either really good (it's become 2nd nature) or really bad! lol I feel really comfortable finally with where I am at eating and fitness wise. I am a little worried about hitting the 2 yr mark, b/c of what I've heard about bounce back weight and other issues etc., but in general I feel really blessed with where my head is at. Back on the protein train today... 7am protein coffee 11am: 1 c. Beef/Bean Stew 1pm: apple 1 HB egg 3pm 1 cup Chicken w/ peppers 1/2 cup Cous Cous 6pm 1 cup Shrimp/Mango salad (you posted and made me crave it so i made it today!) vits done water 2 more bottles to go for 90oz exer: 1 mile treadmill. 20 min. weight DVD

Ruth Ann, You are doing great on your eliptical machine. I don't know if I would be dedicated to do an at home program. I do enjoy my walking though. I just finished two miles. Today was the heaviest snowfall we have had in the 15 years we have lived here. It broke in the afternoon and I got part of my walking in. I'm glad you found a plan that works for you. That is the important thing, find what works for you, is resonable and gets results. I agree with you "the Marcher's" are in store for a great year. Take care, Rick

I hate them all. If I had to vote I would pick Mike H. and Hillary C. (I know 2 polar opps). I only get one vote don't I? Hillary C.

Congratulations on completing the 5 day pouch test Rick. I wanted to try it before when I saw it on the Graduates forum. The first day was tough and I just got headaches, so just went to the cottage cheese and protein drinks with a dinner. It keeps me on track. For me, I need to do the "make a plan and follow the plan". It helps me not to fail, or at least not stray far off track. It has been working, feel better than I have in awhile. I'm liking the new elliptical, I think it's going to give me the exercise I've been missing and since it's harder than a treadmill will shake my body up a bit and I just might make it into those 160's and stay there! I know it will! I can do it! I think doing something like the pouch test is good for us. It is so easy to get off track, slip back to old ways of eating. This allows us to stop, slow down and realize we don't need all those other foods. That eating the things we need like protein, and measuring is something we can still do. And that if we don't we see the results which is the scale slowly moving up. So as you mentioned it helps to straighten your head out a bit and get you back on track. it makes you think about what you are doing. Again, congratulations, thank you for sharing and I hope the inspiration to those who need it. I think it's going to be another great year for us Marchers!!

Breakfast: 4oz LF cottage cheese, 5 pretzel crisps, coffee. Mid morning: Protein shake, 10 almonds. Lunch: Cup of chili, 2 oz chicken breast strips. Mid afternoon: 2 oz chicken breast strips, protein shake, 10 almonds. Gave in to a bag of mini pretzels around 4pm. Dinner: Salad with chicken, veggies, thai dressing. All vitamins in. One round before dinner on the elliptical, going to do more tonight and some of the rider machine with my other exercises. Water: about 33 oz so far, have a bottle ready to go after my 30 mins after dinner. Like you I just want to be sure to be eating healthy this year, making the best choices. Try to lose a few pounds, at least not gain. My surgery got me here and now I want to live here and be the healthiest I can be. Looking forward to Spring and getting back to bike riding. I miss it already!

Thanks for sharing your experiences with this "test" Rick. I want to give it a try myself. Not to lose weight because I feel I am at a good weight but because I am in a vicious cycle of carb and sweets cravings that I feel something like with would probably get me back on track. I know that the carbs cause me to feel tired and bloated very often. I am sure that my body would like me to put better things into it. I hope I can succeed as well as you have. I'll give it a try in another week or so. Robin

Topic: RE: Best WOW to date???
What a great post to have. Thanks for thinking of this Stephanie. I don't know what my biggest WOW moment has been. There are so many for me and they still continue to happen. I think that one of the top WOW's was when we went to Ocean City, MD and rode the rides on the boardwalk. I fit in every single ride and had room to spare in most of the seats. It was great! I also had tons of energy for the entire day and that felt great too. The only downer to the entire day was we all were very badly sunburned - my husband sustained 2nd degree burns on his legs! But I can hardly wait to go to another amusement park and ride more rides! It was also cool to be able to not only fit in an airplane seat but to cross my legs comfortably! I could go on and on.... I have to mention that it feels REALLY good when my husband hugs me and comments how he can put his arms all the way around me now. Hugs, Robin
