Jannine,

I'm working an overtime shift keeping our county safe (as a dispatcher). I'm wearing my tipical Hawaiian shirt. It's nice on overtime shifts we get to wear our casual clothes.

Does everyone else hate all of the Haloween candy that is everywhere this time of year. Next week all of the employees will bring whatever is left from their own houses because they don't want it sitting around. Oh well, it will be gone soon then we can work on the holiday season.

Take care and thanks for dropping in.

We have many tools or weapons in our arsenal. The first tool is water.

Water is the most important nutrient in our body. Water makes up 70 percent of our muscles and 75 percent of our brain. The only thing that our bodies crave more than water is oxygen.

Water helps us maintain proper muscle tone, prevents dehydration, improves our skin and hair, and helps rid our body of waste and harmful toxins. It increases our energy level, suppresses our appetite, and helps us maintain our weight. It is absolutely essential to our good health and well-being.

It is recommended that we consume at least 64 ounces of water a day. It may seem difficult for many of us, but it is a must. I think that WLS people should be known by our water bottle. Strive to continually have one with you.

Water is a powerful tool for weight loss. It has become much more convenient and even chic to drink bottled water.

As a side note I live in a rural area within 50 miles of several water bottling plants. We joke with people from the city that we use the same water that they pay for to water our lawns and flush our toilets. It’s nice to be a “country boy".

WATER, it does a body good.

Hey there...sweetie...you are not alone out here....there are plenty of us who are having difficulties that is why there are lots of lurkers.........this past year has been very difficult in many different area's.  I got down to my doctors goal which was 157lbs from 375....but I looked very sickly so I actually purposely put on about 15-20lbs and have been there steadly give or take 5-10lbs....You also have to remember you have made a great accomplishment.....the more we beat ourselves up the worst we feel...You have already made a commitment to getting back on track...and I will help in any way I can....now that I know there are people out here I will be a regular here...if you would like some protein filled recipes let me know and I will post some....I have kept them from when the boards were more active....my hubby is the same way....but love him to pieces....(((((HUGS)))))

Melissa...glad to hear you are back on track....I have gone thru quite a few things that are not exactly good for the obesity survivors....I am glad some of the other Marcher came out from lurking to help and advise....I am going to try to make it my goal to stop in every day now that I know there is some activity in here....
