I second Rick, imperative to get your blood panel done. Tell me, what do "all vitamins" mean? Sublingual B12? Calcium citrate? I ask because both of these are needed for neurological function although with calcium, it is leeched from bones to fill the void until there just isn't enough to spare anymore. I urge you to also get a bone desity test, a very easy scan and sometimes are given for free at senior fairs.

I'm sorry you are having these problems.

The most obvious answer is to see your doctor and have some blood work done. He / she can put you on the right track. It's not to late to turn things around if you are deficient in one or more suppliments.

I hope you will do this soon so you will now what is wrong and what you can do to correct it.

Take care of yourself. Rick

I am taking all of my vitamins daily but and I getting enough I don't know....Sometimes I do skip a day or two but I get them in...I am experiencing slight memory loss....I am having a hard time remembering things and then on top of that I find that my spelling is off kilter...This is frightening me and causing me to not sleep at night which in turn causes anxiety. This is not a place I want to be in right now...If someone has experienced this please let me know what needs to be done.

Merry Christmas Jannine! I had a wonderful holiday, just returned last night from immersing myself in family in Baton Rouge. My heart is happy and my perspective recentered. Life is good. Love y'all.

Hi Laura! It's good to see you!! I know, seems completely surreal that it's been so long. My son was just mentioning it yesterday actually and I had to do the math in my head.. A strange feeling. Life has changed from a dismal ride into an amazing one. Not everything has been positive but a learning experience nonetheless and lessons that would not have been learned without being able to stretch the wings a little bit. Thankfully my husband has been flexible with me and my newfound confidence to engage even strangers in playful banter or conversation. He's very reserved so I am a test of his comfort zone as well. On a side note, I carried my niece 1/2 mile up a large hill today to take her to a parade and then carried her back down again after it was finished -- never would have even been a notion of a possibility 4.5 short years ago. Yay!

Het Lulu!!!  Goodness it's good to 'see' you.

I checked out your recent photos and I must say you look smokin' hot!!!  You have certainly rocked your WLS tool!!!  Where is the mansion you visited?  Must be a tourist spot, kinda like California's Hearst Castle in San Simeon????  Anyway, your pictures looked fun....

I hope more of us wander back over here.....I would also like to hear how everyone's doing.  Gosh, can you believe we're coming up on 5 years??????

OMG Nannette! I had to look through your pictures to see if I knew who you were!! Wow, you have done fantastically! I hope your doctor who told you that you would never lose more than a hundred pounds sees you and never discourages another soul that way.

Hi Sweety, long time no see sweetheart. I can really identify with what you are saying. Although I lost a lot of weight (down to 185), my body was still really thick on the bottom but skeletal on top. I think it might be because of the lymphedema. Anyway, I regained on purpose but then couldn't stop and can't seem to make my way back down again. I vowed to start going to the gym again, was going 5 times a week for a long time, but it's hard because even sitting down my breathing has started feeling labored. Maybe if we make a pact together to start exercising again we can both succeed? I have also noticed that eating wheat products makes me hungrier/uneasy feeling and also retain fluid. Think I'm going to try to ween myself off of it.
