great to see you back Jannine, hope all is well. maybe starting this post again will get some traffic on the boards?
I'm back on fat smash, I met with a trainer and have decided I want to lose 6 more lbs and regain it as muscle. Not only that but a friend of mine is trying to talk me into a mini triathlon labor day weekend in Hyannis (Cape Cod)
right? lol I still haven't said yes, I've been trying to push my cardio limits as much as possible to see if I'll be able to do the 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike and 3k run, we'll see how it goes over the next month. As long as you sign up 2 months in advance you're in so I still have 3 months to change my mind!! lol
I've been on fat smash for 7 days now and have lost 2.4 lbs
attempting to fat smash till Saturday, we'll see how it goes.
heres my yesterday
meal 1 - protein shake
meal 2 - 2 banana cookies with 2 T peanut butter
meal 3 - 2/3c. un-refried beans with 1/4c salsa and 1oz reduced fat cheddar
meal 4 - 1 c. yogurt
meal 5 - unbreaded eggplant parm with reduced fat mozzarella cheese
meal 6 - 1 c. green beans
medium coffee, x-tra smart milk, vanilla stevia

Rick glad to see you're still around. i've been struggling with the weather as we're still getting snow (Monday was another 4", will it ever end!! LOL) i've been tanning once a week to try and help, but I think a trip to a real beach might have to be on the schedule soon if this awful weather keeps up. I swear by July we'll still have snow!!
glad to see you're well, say

hi Heather, thanks for stopping in! What flashbacks we get when talking to a new post op! I too have talked to a post op who is a few weeks out and she is going through the same thing. Crying, mourning the loss of foods, will i ever be normal, etc. Interstingly enough how fast we ovecome that when the scale starts missing incriments of more than 2
stop in when you can!
take care

Greetings from Chicago! I'm glad the flu left you. I may want to borrow it so I can lose six pounds!
Just kidding, I'm sure I don't want it!
I'm on the road, so eating isn't great but here goes:
Breakfast: non-fat yogurt with granola and a sliced banana
Lunch: turkey, cheddar, lettuce, and cucumbers on a herb bagel
Snack: South Beach granola bar
Dinner: a little bit of cheese fondue with apples and bread, four shrimp and 2 ounces of steak, yup...had to sample the chocolate fondue with strawberries and bananas
Water: not nearly enough but I estimate 48 ounces
Vitamins:
Exercise: nada unless walking the streets of Chicago counts!
Have a great day!
Hugs, Stephanie

Sounds good. Is Splenda now making powdered confectioner's sugar? I have seen the brown sugar but haven't seen the confectioner's sugar on the store shelf. Where did you find it? Thanks, Barbara

Ok...so now that I am all done with the miserable flu and can actually taste food...I had a protein bar for breakfast on the road and iced coffee med with 2 shots of toasted almond 5 splenda...little cream and 2 mocha swirl and then for lunch I had about 40z of pastrami and 4 cheese sticks and for supper I am having a piece of lazagna home made...more cheese than noodles and sauce.....I also had 2 very large strawberries and a small piece of chocolate... that dam chocolate keeps getting in there...I will try to do better tomorrow.....the only good thing about the flu was I lost 6 lbs from it....and I did eat...it is so hard eating when everything has NO FLAVOR....so I lost it but I know it can be lurking around some sneaky corner.....
I hope you all had a great day and have a better tomorrow...
Love

Cream Cheese and Pecan Stuffed Berries
20 whole large strawberries, hulled
8 ounces 1/3 FF cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup confectioners' powdered splenda
1/4 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
2/3 cup chopped pecans
Cut a thin slice from the bottom of each strawberry so the berries stand upright. Place berries, cut side down, on a serving platter. Carefully cut the berries into 4 wedges, cutting almost to, but not through, the bottoms with a criss-cross cut. Fan wedges just slightly, taking care not to break them. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until combined but still stiff. Using a teaspoon or pastry bag with decorative tip, fill the strawberries with the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of the stuffed strawberries. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
