Topic: RE: 5 day pouch test
You look soo freakin hot girl!!! I'm so proud of you!!
Well, Day 1 of the pouch test is done, and before I started the scale said 243. This morning it read...... 238.5!!!!!! 4.5 lbs down!! YAY!! I am actually thinking about dragging out the liquids phase a few extra days.
I even got up this morning and did another 1.77 miles walking around the neighborhood. I worked up quite a sweat, and let me tell you.. I feel sooo pumped right now!!! It's been a while since I've felt like this.

Well, I finished yesterday off with 4.53 miles. I did 2 walks, alont with a trip to Walmart. I woke up this morning and did another 1.77, and I'll walk this evening too. I really enjoy the time when the sun is still hiding and things are just starting or just winding down.
I'm definately joining you guys on your quest. My pedometer reads 1.86 right now. I'd like to see it say more than 5 before the end of the day.
My legs are a little sore, but that's just because they haven't really been used lately.
Someone on the radio said something the other day. Today is the perfect day to start something!!! Don't wait till January to start getting fit!

I hope you are having a wonderful time in TN!!!!
I'm going to do better on the water today. I woke up feeling dehydrated and I know it's because I didn't get enough in yesterday!
Drink, drink, drink today for Stephanie!

Yikes! 6,7, and 8 are big ones for me. I try not to graze too often but find it's easy to do when I'm bored. Exercise is a continual struggle. I certainly do much better than pre surgery, but probably not as much as I should be doing. The carb monster attacks me sometimes too. I try to stick to whole grains as much as possible but those crackers sneak their way into my eating plan from time to time.
Thanks for these reminders. Happy Thursday!
Hugs, Stephanie

Topic: RE: Marcher's some mistakes we might make - part 1
Great stuff Rick, Thaks for taking time to remind us.
I managed to develop a routine pretty fast and I stayed away from the support group so I wouldn't get to knwo where it was easy to cheat or who was doing what. I was told what to do, hwo to do it and that all of them were important. ( Ive recognized a pattern about me that I was unwilling to test on this venture.) It may be selfish or great depending on the personal view but it worked
I did attend one at the 1 year and was shocked at all the excuses and sugar coating that was going on - Im a bit results oriented and havent been back, I think it was our leader and we have a new one now. She knows how I feel and that reminders just like those you mentioned would make great topics at meetings. Get some leverage on WHY we do what we do, get some fear going, or motivation, or whatever it takes to get back my life.
I feel great about the thinking going on here and realize it's way past time for me to start giving back and shareing and such. I hope to add a bit your this group and expand my circle of "sharing this experience" as I grow, learn and succeed.
