Topic: ROLL CALL: WALKERS WEEK 3
Another week down one more to complete the month, lets get our miles in Marchers! This weekend I got some great miles in and beautiful sites during our strange (but welcomed) weather patern. My miles for the week are 27. Now that I'm back to 100% I'll be sure to get those walks in during lunch at work and even a walk when I get home. How did everyone do this week? Where's our next stop on the map? Be sure to add your results to help us walk across America!

another perfect day! the windows are open to get the flu germs out, it smells like spring (oh I wish!!) I lost 3 lbs from the flu, everyones starting to tell me I'm too skinny. BF looked a little concerned when I said the scale read 123. I really feel great at 126, so I'll eat extra to get back there. I woke up so early today, must have been all that sleep on Friday. Went on the treadmill for a few miles (trying to get the motivation for couch potato to 5k on podcast). Bf's mom heard me in the basement on the treadmill, I swear shes got ears like a mouse, thats probably not always a good thing (she lives in the 2nd part of their 2 family house). So we went for a walk around jamaica pond watching the game with bf, pats are winning and bf was in the mood for chinese food. come to find out the place that delivers is closed... maybe its a sign (too bad for him )! Anway, BF promised a walk between the Pats game and Sox game, he better stick to his word! I'll post my miles later tonight in the roll call post. heres my day so far: early this morning (before bed) 5 peanut butter balls iso fruit cantaloupe protein shake breakfast - mini frozen banana with 1T peanut butter and an apple muffin snack - 1/2c nsa mint chocolate chip ice cream lunch - few slices of deli roast beef and way too many UTZ salt and pepper chips medium iced coffee, sf butterscotch syrup, x-smart milk dinner - Jannines creamy chicken crockpot dish nectar cappuccino latte (coffee, caramel syrup, smart milk, scoop of nectar protein) vitamins - all in water - 2 - 32oz bottles so far exercise - all kinds of walking hope everyones having a good weekend

What a cute little town.....and right up my alley with all it's historical sites. I love seeing things like this. I think while we're here, I would have liked to have tea at the Rutherford mansion but I see they're all sold out. And we'll be long gone by the middle of December when they have the Christmas tea. The women in my family get together for tea during the holidays and I've always enjoyed it very much. When my cousin got married last summer, we did a tea bridal shower for his fiancee at a little tea shop in Benicia. It was beautiful. Can't wait to see where we are next week....and what we'll be seeing!!! Thanks for doing this, Stylz!!!

hope dd is feeling better! I'm feeling so much better, yesterday all I did was sleep, but it helped. I woke up feeling so much better today (still not 100%, but better). I love those days of sitting around and relaxing, especially in jammies I didn't realize you're a stay at home mom, my cousin is too and loves it! I bet her husband counts the days to when the kids get to kindergarten and shes back to work, but for the time being it is what it is... Sushi is great, they just opened a sushi restaurant by my work. I can't wait to try it.

Topic: RE: Are you more confident as a slimmer person?
Good Luck on your interview Rick! We can talk for hours about buying new clothes at regular stores (you know my shopping addictions ) I can say my confidence levels at work have gone way up. I remember being pre-op, dealing with a big meeting full of politicians at work and feeling the eyes of skinny assistants look at me as I walked by, being so uncomfortable doing anything but sitting behind my desk. I'll never forget a day before a meeting when I was going back and forth between rooms, I was sweating, out of breath and uncomfortable with how I looked (at that point I had started taking my pre-op pictures and could clearly see I was a ball above the waist situated on 2 stick legs).. My bosses assistant looked at me a few times and I could see what she was thinking.. That was the most uncomfortable moment I've ever had at work. Now I hold my head high when these meetings start, I'm not embarassed to walk into the meeting or to talk with people I wouldn't have in the past. Its a good feeling getting to the top of the stairs and not being out of breath or taking the stairs to the second floor and getting there before the people that took the elevator.

I agree, wls is far from an easy way out. Learning to eat right, not eating and drinking at the same time, vitamins, dumping when not eating the right foods... all things we signed up for, but by no means does it mean wls is an easy weight loss. Getting to my goal by our surgiversary is something I really wanted. So much that I actually "dieted" when I hit plateaus. I was frustrated in the early months because everyone was losing 10-15 lbs a week and I was losing no more than 7, more like 4 or 5 most weeks.. I knew my protein levels weren't where everyone elses were, but I just couldn't get more in no matter how often I would try. Now that I'm at my goal and have been for a while I can say the value of getting to goal quickly is gone.. I'm happy I'm here, but whats left? I don't have the excitement of seeing a different number on the scale or a different size on a label. The wow moments are over, so I'll live vicuriously through everyone elses
