Thank you both for doing these daily posts.....I enjoy them greatly even though I don't usually respond to them.....I do read them every day. It's kind of like Dear Abby or the horoscopes....wouldn't miss them!!
Topic: RE: ROLL CALL: WALKERS WEEK 3
My walking this week is an opposite of my old eating habits......when I thought I hardly ate anything at all to realize I had eaten it all AND a bag of chips.....hahaha
I thought I had walked miles and miles this week.....only to add it up and find I really only had 21.5 miles......
Please pray for our OH friends and the devoted firefighters in southern California.....the fires are sooooo bad!!!!! Our govenator has been down there today and declared the area "a state of emergency". We have several firefighting groups here in my area (central valley) that are leaving to go down south to help out.
Happy walking this week everybody....can't wait to see where we visit next.

I've found them very enjoyable, helpful and interesting. You have both done a wonderful job with them. I'd love to continue reading both for as long as you guys are willing to keep doing them.
Topic: RE: 2nd stop on our walk.....
can you imagine their faces if I would have done that!! I should plan a date with my friend who had it there, I bet it would be a good time now! Even walking through that place I felt like godzilla walking through NYC! everything was so dainty I was afraid to sit in those tiny matchstick seats
BF is extatic about the Sox. we were up til 230 watching the highlights, hes such a huge sox fan.. I'm a mets fan and still when I think about how much they choked at the end of the season.. from first place to not making the play offs in less than 4 weeks... ughhh go sox (for bf's sake)

Helpful, Motivational, Inspirational, Creative, etc, etc, etc, etc!
I find them to be all of the above! If I don't get to read them daily, by the end of the week I'm sure to catch up on them. Its great reading the push from both of you to help get to or maintain our goals.
I sometimes feel the same way when I post the wdyet and theres only me posting that day. I know some of us Marchers struggle with plateaus or gains so I post it daily to give us the option to journal so we get back on track or stay on track. sometimes thats all it takes is that little push. Thats why I continue to post the journals daily.. I'd love to continue reading the daily posts from you and Rick if you're both willing to do so (or maybe you both want to combine your post and alternate daily or weekly)? whatever works for you both works for us, you're both great motivators

I don't post much on our board, but I always check the March 06 board first when I come to OH.
I enjoy the messages from both of you. I find them to help ground me with the things I need to do every day.

Topic: RE: MARCHers going to goal!
Barbara,
I like your anology of the half full glass. At first we are so eager to start on our full glass. We savor the first few drinks. It filled a need we desperately wanted to fill. We were excited to lose the weight and it happened relatively easily and quickly. I think we also savor the bottom of the glass. We realize the drink is almost gone and we enjoy the last few swallows. So it is with the weight loss. We are so concentrated on those last few pounds that we savor each portion of a pound lost. The great difficulty seems to be the middle of the glass. We have worked through that initial excitement of the new drink. Sometimes we wished the glass was not as full as it was, we don't think we will ever get to the bottom. It is a struggle, but we must get to the bottom of the glass to attain our goals.
As with our full glass, we can see the results as we go. It is so worth it.
Have a great day, Rick
