Topic: RE: WDYET?? *** MONDAY ***
I'm trying to eat 100 grams of protein a day to prep for surgery. I feel so full! I calculated everything in FitDay and was surprised to see that even eating this much, I'm only at about 1200 calories. I thought for sure it would be over 1600!
Drive to work: 2 Babybel light cheese rounds
Breakfast: great grains bagel with peanut butter and sliced banana
Morning snack: 4 ounces deli ham and a boiled egg
Lunch: 4 ounces deli turkey, a boiled egg, and one apple
Snack: lite applesauce cup and NSA rice pudding
Dinner: 4 ounces of baked chicken and broccoli
Water: 55 ounces
Vitamins: all in
Exercise: nope...I've given up for the time being. I have a research paper and two other papers due by the last day of the term which is next Monday! All of my extra time is spent on homework!
Hugs, Stephanie

Topic: RE: ***Are the messages helping?***
I really enjoy both posts each day. However, I'm sure that they are time consuming to write! I do appreciate your efforts, Rick and Barbara. I try to respond most days to the posts and they do help me stay focused.
Thank you both for providing such great information and support! If you guys need a break, I completely understand!
Hugs, Stephanie

Topic: MARCHers going to goal!
One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar......Helen Keller
I WANT to soar MARCHers going to goal...how about you? I am no longer consent to creep towards my goal...I am going to take the "bull by the horns" this week and soar towards my goal. Will you join me?
Sad note: somewhere along the line I lost my pedometer on Saturday. My old age won't let me remember if I put it somewhere or it fell off somewhere...time will tell (if it shows up). I have checked the washer and dryer - no pedometer....my usual places I leave it...no pedometer. I had become attached to the dear thing and was constantly looking at it. SO - there was nothing to do but stop by our surgeon's office yesterday afternoon and buy another one. Glad they have them and so reasonably priced.
SO today MARCHers - I have the impulse to soar toward that goal I have set. I am going to drink tons of water, I am going to walk at lunch (before the rain this afternoon), I am going to take all my vitamins and I am going to make today...."a protein only" day. Quit creeping MARCHers and join me in soaring today. Will you go with me? Hugs to all....Barbara
Topic: How healthy is your family?
So now that you have made this choice to change your lifestyle, how has it affected your family? Are those that are close to you healthier because of the choices you have made? If you are the grocery shopper for your household, you have a great influence of the type of foods that are brought into your house and in your life. Choose wisely. If we rely on someone else to make the best choices for us we are not taking responsibility for our own health. If someone else is leading you down a path you do not want to go it is your responsibility to right your course. Don't let someone else have a negative affect on your life. Speak up. Be proactive in the food and activity choices in your life. If you are around people that lead a sedentary life style are you more likely to be a couch potato? I think so. Encourage your family to live a more active lifestyle. Live your life, don't be on the sidelines. Be a leader and encourager. Make good choices and be steadfast in your decisions. Enjoy everyday and make the most of it.
Have a great day, Rick

do I think it's great you guys do this everyday??? Abo****ely! Would I do it everyday ... No way! maybe once a week, but not everyday... (don't want anyone to think I do not appreciate what you 2 are doing, but want to be honest in the fact FOR ME, I would get just as much out of a weekly post as to everday...and it would be WAY easier on the 2 of you)
