MJ,
You have made such great progress. I think it takes awhile for our minds to accept where we are. I hope you have better health in your future.
Have a great day, Rick

Mimi,
I'm glad you like you. I'm sure most people like you also. You have such an outgoing personality. Thank God very few people ever see me without the benefit of clothing. It would make a grotesque halloween costume. Oh well, like you said with clothes on and from the face up I can deal with it.
Have a great day, Rick

Starting..278
current..135
total loss..143
I am 42 yrs old and 5"7 and started in a sz 24 and now I am in a small top and 2-4 bottom. My struggles are not the same but struggles none the less... I feel like I am to thin and I wish the infamous bounce back would happen already.... I feel like I eat all day. This is why I don't post but read the boards daily.. I don't want to make anyone feel bad about my struggles compared to theirs...getting to goal and gaining ect... I believe we must adapt to the thinking of normal people and enjoy life without deprivation but in moderation and I also live by the saying, Just because I can doesn't mean I should.. thanks for the post ...pegggy

You have done great. None of us are perfect. I'm not even sure I have ever strived for "perfect", maybe I should. I'm glad you are happier with your new healthier body. I know I am greatful for mine.
Enjoy your vacation. Rick

Barbara,
Thank you for your positive attitude. It is a gift to be happy with ones self. You have come a long way. I think acceptance of where we are in life is one of the greatest benefits of maturity. I think we can all wear this flapping skin with pride. We earned it.
Have a great day, Rick

Barbara,
We are having beautiful weather here in Northern California. Unlike the other end of the state it is as clear as can be. Please keep our firefighters and the residents of Southern California in your thoughts and prayers.
The problem with rainbows is that they are elusive. Just when you thought you might find the pot of gold, the rainbow moves. It is all a matter of perspective. Enjoy the colors of the rainbow and don't fret over that pot of gold. It is truly a gift.
Have a rainbow filled day. Rick

LuLU and the rest of you women have done amazing. I am so proud of each of you.
Here are my numbers:
Starting weight: 339
Surgery weight: 300
Curent weight: 178
Total lost: 161 pounds
I have gone from a 5X shirt to medium, size 46 pants to 34. size 9 shoes to 8 1/2. I have been within 5 pounds of my lowest weight for the last 7 months or so.
I can eat just about anything, unfortunately. This has been a great ride. I like my new life. I have so much more energy then I have ever had in my life.

so days I am happy with what I see then other days I am not. Also part of me wants plastic surgery on my arms but the other part of me does not (I really do not want to see another hospital for awhile). hopefully I will begin to like what I see everyday.
