Topic: MARCHers going to goal!
We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons......Jim Rohn Which pain do you want? The pain of discipline...the one where we use the tools we have been given to achieve our goal? We need to continue on to our journey to goal. Yes we had a little pain when we had the surgery and then we coasted for many months while the pounds melted off. Now me must have a bit of pain of discipline...it is easier to eat more, eat the wrong things, not follow the rules. BUT......the consequences of not following the rules are..... THE PAIN OF REGRET....regret we are not following the rules, not using our tool for which it was designed, the pain of regret of possibly GAINING weight and not continuing to loose. MARCHers - we have come to far not to get to the finish line. Please do it for yourself today - eat the protein, take your vitamins, drink your water and exercise. And yes the difference is discipline weighs ounces (maybe in slow ounces lost) but regret can weigh tons....250, 300, 350, 400 even more pounds. We don't want regret because we want success. What discipline will pain you today to keep you on track? Hugs to all...Barbara

Hi all, I have never thrown up since surgery. I can tell you there have been plenty of times I wished I could vomit. I just either feel sort of bad or my pouch hurts real bad. The last time was when I had one and a half bread sticks stuffed with cheese. Big mistake. I hurst so bad until it passed. I hope I am learning, but sometimes I wonder if I am. Life is great, most of the time. Rick

I still get the foamies and sometimes puke - mostly if I eat too fast or don't chew up enough. What makes us eat like someone is going to grab it away from us? Beats me - but I do it sometimes. I guess I am glad I do because it makes me stop and think about what I am doing....Barbara

I still do. sometimes I know why--eat too fast, not chewing food or eating that last bite. but then then I will throw up for no reason. last week I ate two bites of chili and then bam. I can do a little pasta, I have not tried rice.

You're back!! I'm thrilled to see that you're up and around. Do you get to see your unveiling when your drains come out or will they keep you wrapped up for a while longer? Your family must be so proud of how far you've come to be healthy.

Unfortunately I can eat just about anything. Wait, except for fried food. Ack. I made the mistake once of eating a tortilla with a little butter on it about a month ago and it made me wretch though. Maybe it's the density/stickiness of it once it's been chewed? Is it just stuff with that tackiness that makes you puke or seemingly innocent things as well?
