Topic: MARCHers going to goal!
When you wholeheartedly adopt a 'with all your heart' attitude and go all out with the positive principle, you can do incredible things......Norman Vincent Peale Ahhh Mr. Peale - what words of wisdom you have for us yet again today! Did you know we can do incredible things with a positive attitude - a "with all your heart" attitude? WE CAN! In fact we already did something pretty incredible when we opted to have this surgery. But now - we have a little bit more to go...we have to maintain if we are there....what now? ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, and PERSEVERANCE, PERSEVERANCE, PERSEVERANCE!!! Do you have the "with all your heart" attitude today? Will you make the right choices today? Will you be positive and upbeat today and make the right decisions? I think we can and will do incredible things today to achieve our goal. Stop right now and fill your glass up with water (or get another bottle of water) and take your vitamins while you are at it! Have only a protein filled lunch - skip the carbs today. Walk down or up a flight of steps - to get your water - or take a nice brisk fall walk at lunch today. Even 2 -15 minute walks today will be good for you. What incredible thing will you do today? Hugs to all....Barbara

Topic: RE: anyone still puking?
Like Rick said, I've also never puked since surgery. But I've been so miserably sick a few times that I TRIED to puke to relieve the pain and I couldn't! Its like my "puker" got lanced when I had this surgery Last time I got sick was a frozen "Calzone" pocket (new Hot Pocket product). I didn't eat the whole thing, only abouf half... and a couple hours later I was sick. Usually I get sick right away but that time it took me a while to react to it... I still don't eat rice, but I can eat some pasta in moderation. I still avoid sugar, but I'm fine with dairy/milk products.

If you clean house for 20 min that is considered 1 mile..so if you spend 8 hours a week cleaning house for the next 8 weeks that works out to 192 miles...and you would definately make goal...lol.....and that is not counting what you would be walking daily.....and you wife would be happy too.... Topic: WDYET?? *** TUESDAY ***
happy rainy Tuesday everyone! I was suppose to meet a co-worker from the old cop days, but she called and said she has the flu so I'm avoiding her like the plague! having the flu once every few years is plenty for me!!!! I feel like I'm getting lazy with exercise, probably because I'm always so cold and just want to bundle up at home Is anyone else still dealing with always being cold? Its 50 out (which isn't bad for a fall day in New England) and I have a cable knit sweater on with a sweater coat on top, 2 pair socks and cords all i can think is.. if I'm this cold now, its only going to get worse.. Those freezing winter days that the high is like 15... ughhh I get chills just thinking about it! my quinoa mixture came out much better than the first time. I used chicken broth instead of water and it gave it good flavor, added a few spices, corn, black beans, tossed some shrimp in at the end.. mmmmm too bad I didn't bring any for lunch since I lost my lunch date heres my day drive to work - iso fruit cantaloupe protein shake breakfast - 2 banana cookies with 1 T peanut butter snack - apple muffin lunch - weight control oatmeal with 2/3c smart milk and 1T peanut butter dinner - quinoa, black beans, corn and shrimp combination (protein, protein and more protein) snack - broccoli and cheese vitamins - all in exercise - short walk to dunkins.. water - only 20oz so far, too chilly to drink hows everyone doing today? let us know!

Topic: RE: WDYET?? *** MONDAY ***
did you rinse the noodles?? I rinse them for about 5 minutes in the collandar because they smell kinda nasty. I think they taste like ramen noodles.. almost the same consistency, but yes, a lot of people aren't big fans of them. I've been hooked on lomein noodles for a while now. The ones I buy have a lot of protein and aren't made with a lot of fillers, I use them for everything including with tomato sauce I'll have to look for fage yogurt. I heard it was hard to find here too, 13 grams of protein is good!! hope all is well, its pouring here, great day for ducks and fish

Hi, A bit of a slacker for last week. I walked 16 miles for the tail end of the month. I figure if I stay on task that I can reach my goal of walking 2000 miles by the end of the year since I started keeping track 15 months ago. I have about 225 miles to go. We'll see. Have a great day, Rick
