Settle in quick Marchers, we have a lot to cram in this weekend! We've made it to the city of Omaha, Nebraska!
Theres so much to see and do here, we'll never sleep!
Check out the cool dome at the Omaha Zoo

and heres a nice picture of the Omaha skyline

While we're here, theres entertainment and activities for all interests! With over 390,000 people living here, Omaha doesn't seem an overly expensive place to live. The median gross rent is $623.00 and is the home of Ameritrade Holding Corp (among many other businesses).
Its also the birthplace to Fred Astaire, Malcolm X, Gerald Ford, Marlon Brando and Ahman Green (05 Green Bay Packers).
We can have some fun at the Fun Plex amusement park, anyone up for the rollercoaster?

The Joslyn Art Museum

We can also check out Monty Python's Spamalot, show thats playing at the Orpheum Theater this weekend!
Winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, Monty Python's Spamalot is the outrageous new musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the film classic "Monty Python and The Holy Grail."

Barbara,
Thank you for my laugh of the day. You and the rest of the group certainly are remarkable people. I am so happy to be a part of this group.
Have a good weekend and give Stephanie a hug from me, but be gentle.
Life is great, Rick

Stylz-
I'm sorry you are having this problem. This was recently discussed on the main forums, too. Not sure if you saw the post, it got 79 replies. Its becoming a more "common knowledge" type risk of RNY surgery... more and more people are finding this happening.
Here are some posts and profiles of people who have/had issues with this:

It sounds like you are getting this under control before it gets worse. Some people have crashed their car while driving. Some were told they need part (or all) of their pancreas removed, which they are now finding is not always a good idea (see mary wright profile, she died after doctors removed her whole pancreas). Melting Mama has blogged a lot about her struggles with this post-op. I'm sure you have seen her around the main boards before, she's really active.
Anyways, I hope the above links are helpful in learning about this problem.
Topic: MARCHers going to goal!
People become really quite remarkable when they start thinking that they can do things. When they believe in themselves they have the first secret of success....Norman Vincent Peale
Mr. Peale has been giving us some good advice this week! How remarkable will you be today....will you start thinking that YOU can do things? When you believe in yourself that indeed is the first secret of success.
I believe in MARCHers - we have proved to be a quite remarkable group of people. We have believed in ourselves and we have been successful to this point and now we must continue. Some of us have hit our "goal", some of us are not quite there yet, but all of us have a mission - to get to goal or maintain. THINK, BELIEVE, ACT today to make our mission a reality. I want to pat you on the back for doing the right things this week...taking your vitamins, drinking your water, eating your protein and doing a little more exercise. Pull back your shoulders, stick out your chest (if your boobs still stick out and don't flop to your waist - except for Rick) and put a big grin on your face and thank yourself for doing a good job. I just know you have been successful in doing all the right things this past week. Don't discourage if you missed one or two of them along the way this week, rather believe in yourself that you can do the right thing today and all of our tomorrows.
Have a wonderful weekend MARCHers - I am off to northern NH on Sunday to visit with our dear "Stephanie Smiles" who had plastic surgery one week ago today. I am going to take her some protein filled chili and some "mama of 3's" apple crisp. I hope she is feeling better by this weekend as I know last weekend was pretty rough on her.
So in closing this week....MARCHers - BELIEVE in yourselves. How remarkable will you be today? Hugs to all..Barbara
Topic: RE: Flu shot???
I have never gottten one and I have never gotten the flu....I have noplans on getting one this year...although everyone keeps telling me the kids need it...I guess it seems to run rampant through the south???
Topic: RE: WDYET?? *** THURSDAY ***
Oh, a family girls night out! That sounds so fun!
B - double protein shake
S - 2 York peppermint patties
L - 1/2 of pork chop/mushroom sauce
S - 2 more peppermint patties (Karen, I totally hadn't thought of these til you mentioned them!)
D - Oh my goodness, I made the best pot of white bean soup. I really made white beans and rice (like red beans and rice) but left it thin and served it with rice to the family. It had a little bit of heat from red pepper flake, lots of bay leaves, garlic and smokiness from smoked turkey. I think I want some more! I had about a cup of it.
S - probably will be white beans/smoked turkey
Lots of tea again today though not as much as yesterday. Don't know how much liquid I've had today.
Vites - in

Barbara,
I get one every year, got one this year. Rarely get sick.
I was looking at my paycheck and I have used 14 hours sick leave this year and none of it was for being sick (doctor's appointment and mom in hospital). I have been
very healthy for the last year and a half.
Take care, Rick
