How will you find the cat that rubs up against your legs and jumps into your lap? Maybe don't try so hard to coax the cat....or don't beat yourself up if you don't make all the right choices this holiday week. Have a little taste....sip a little wine....enjoy your friends and family, laugh alot, love alot, be thankful for what you have and what you will continue to have.
Next week the "feel the love" is all over and we are back to hard work to get over the tiny bites we might consume this week and the lack of exercise, and the feeling full pouch!!! But this week...let's be thankful, let's enjoy ourselves (in reason) and just soak up how much healthier we are this year than last year or the year before. Remember those Thanksgivings you ate so much you waddled over to the couch and immediately began snorning to the chagrin of all gathered in your living room???? That for sure won't happen this year!
So remember our rules if you do indulge this week....take ALL vitamins....drink way too much water....exercise other than waddling to the couch....and have LOTS of turkey filled with protein and I am sure the cat will rub your legs and jump in your lap! Hugs to all....Barbara

I get a little anxious with Thanksgiving dinner upon us because last thanksgiving I dumped.. On healthier choices no less
The tabuli on wheat crackers was the straw that broke the camels back and boy did it break... I was sick for hours and know to be more cautious this year!
I found an interesting sweet potato recipe online that I'm going to make, it got great reviews, can't wait to try it. My cousin makes sinfully delish sweet potatoes loaded with a stick of butter, cinnamon sugar and brown sugar. The thought of it almost makes me dump
Last christmas I made Mama of 3's apple crisp, I'm going to make it for thanksgiving this year for everyone to enjoy

kinda frustrated today... I'm really not hungry but if I dont eat I start with the shakes.. Meeting with the nutritionist today, I'm interested to hear her intake on this whole thing since it sounds like a lot of people aren't going through this within our clinic (maybe because it happens to further out post ops and the program isn't that old?
) either way.. I'll continue doing what I have to do...
drive to work - iso fruit cantaloupe shake
medium sf caramel vanilla spice coffee, x-smart milk
breakfast - about 3/4 serving of weight control cinnamon oatmeal, 3/4 c. milk and 1T peanut butter
lunch - 1 1/2 iso fruit cantaloupe protein shake
thats all I know so far.. if I get the urge to eat I'll have some food, if not, I'll stick to shakes..
exercise - treadmill tonight
water - 2 - 22oz glasses so far
vitamins - all in!

This holiday week I am going to keep it light. Let's have fun this week. Let's enjoy our families and friends and celebrate our weight loss journey thus far. We have to find happiness along the way - because as Mr. Updegraff says...if we find it at the end of the road, the journey is over and it is too late.
Now not to say "go hogwild" this week with over-endulgences and over-eating, but have a little happiness along the way. If you have to have a taste of Aunt Mildred's traditional "I've made it for 50 years" sweet potatoe casserole laden with yummies...then have a taste! If Granny Smith insists you must try her pecan pie...well Granny Smith won't be here forever, so maybe have a little - I mean - little bite and make Granny happy!
So in essence, enjoy yourself this week. Laugh alot, love alot, endulge a little bit! But if you are going to endulge, please take your vitamins, please drink more water, please take a long walk after Thanksgiving dinner, and have more turkey than Aunt Mildred's sweet potatoes or Granny Smith's pecan pie! well I did not log anything...i did not go dancing this week either...granted i know i walked ...but I only count my extra miles. since I don't have any other way of keep track of it...with winter months coming I doubt I will get much in way too cold

if you havehad chipolte then you will like qudoba. you can get a burrito bowl with no rice. The chicken is pretty good. I have gotten a soft chicken taco with lettuce, chicken, cheese, hot salsa and sour cream on the side. I eat the insides and not the shell. I used to get a burrito bowl with chicken,lettuce, cheese, beans (black) and sour cream on the side. oh and hot salsa. too much food and I can not do leftovers too well. have a good lunch date.

Barbara.....you have to get a leash for that pedometer...lol......I have had only 10 miles this week considering I spend from MOnday to Friday in bed all day....10 miles for friday and satuday are good for me.....gonna kick it up a notch this week thou so beware....
