Wow Jannine! that's awsome"
I took 5 days off of vacation, didnt really go anywhere, just took care of things at home, but I made it a point to walk in the morning and take my baby(doggy) for an afternoon walk. My report for this week is 34.

It is a guess for me because I lost my trusty pedometer. I am estimating 25 miles - it may have been more as we walked around Foxwoods Casino on Sunday until we lost all our money...OH yeah...that didn't require THAT much walking because it seems like we lost it pretty quickly!!!! I didn't get to stop yesterday and get my new pedometer but it is on the MUST do list for today!
Thanks for keeping up with this my friend! Barb
Topic: Surviving the holiday parties.
This time of year it seems as though ever other day there is a special occasion we are either suppose to attend or host. Here are some suggestions on how not to let these events sabotage your progress:
- Eat a healthy protein filled meal before you go.
- Drink some extra water before you are planning to eat.
- Sit down at a table and down hang out around the food table.
- If you don't think there will be any healthy choices at the event, bring your own
Others will be surprised as some of the great tasting treats you have learned how to make.
- Go easy on the alcohol. Those empty calories can really add up.
Remember the real reason for the season and enjoy your family and friends.
What tips to you have for getting though this time of year without adding extra weight to deal with after the first of the year?
Life is great, Rick

well Monday and Tuesday i helped my neighbors move...up and down stairs lifting all that furniture and boxes...3 hours each day (about maybe a bit more) Wed I did laundry up and down the stairs again...Thursday nope sat on my rear...friday i shopped for 4 hours does that count? Saturday shopped for 3 more...sunday had the baby again we watched Enchanted...don't think that counts either
I know this does not make calculating my steps easy...but then what would have to do until next monday LOL!!!
Thanks for keeping up with this for us!

I drink diet caffine free everyday...granted from the getgo I would let the ice melt and then drink it, now that has become habit...once you get a taste for flat soda it's not bad. I can not drink a soda if it is not flat it hurts my tummy.

MJ,
Congratulations on hitting your goal. I can agree about the carbs. I have been real bad lately. I need to get back on my own personal band wagon and just KNOCK it off.
Way to go. We are all proud of you.
Have a great day, Rick

I'm ready, I have actually hit my first goal of 155 (weighed this morning and was at 154 two days in a row). Now I want to get down to 150 or below.
I need to stop eating carbs!
