Topic: RE: MARCHers going to goal!
Good morning! I definitely want to stay healthy. I feel like all I did was eat yesterday. I'm not sure if that's accurate or just a weird perception. My highest priority during this holiday season is to make sure I stay true to "everything in moderation". I want to eat healthily and make good decisions for myself. I'd like to hit onederland by January 1st. I know I can't do that if I give into temptation every time it presents itself!
Have a great day!
Hugs, Stephanie

Barbara,
I'm sorry, but the only hot air in California is me. Yesterday we had 60 mile per hour winds and rain and snow. There is suppose to be a bigger storm moving in with 15 to 20 foot higher then normal waves on the coast. It has been quite blustery.
Take care, Rick

I had 24 miles last week...should have done better. I even have my new pedometer - bought 2 of them as I am sure to lose another one! I need some hot air in California after our big snowfall yesterday!!! Take care surgery buddy - I will try to call you today! Barb

You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage--pleasantly, smilingly, nonapologetically--to say 'no' to other things. And the way you do that is by having a bigger 'yes' burning inside. The enemy of the 'best' is often the 'good.'.......Stephen Covey
Do you have the courage - as you are pleasant, smiling and nonapologetic to say NO to those holiday treats you don't need? Can you smile as you say..."no thank you", I am just not hungry!!! You have to have the bigger YES burning inside to remind you that you don't need the bad things...and I think we all have the "YES" burning inside. We want to stay healthy, we want to maintain or want to get to goal...that YES is constantly burning inside us and we just have to let it have control over the other things we don't need. We have to have the courage however - we maintain it - to make good decisions. During this time of many food temptations we will need alot of courage!!!! So make good decisions - more protein, more water, more exercise and all our vitamins! Do you have the courage? What is your highest priority for dealing with all the upcoming temptations? I know you can find the YES burning inside all of us! Hugs to all...Barbara

Well, I was much more active this week than the previous 3 weeks. That's not saying much though! But in the spirit of "every little bit helps" I'll contribute my paltry 10.5 miles to the total.
I hope to walk more and more in the weeks ahead!
Hugs, Stephanie

Hiya, my friend! Thanks for all of your support during recovery. I did make the trek into work today, but I left at 2:00 p.m. so that I didn't have to drive home in the dark. Plus, I needed a nap!
Hugs, Stephanie

Sorry guys, not a great week for walking. I got in 23.5 miles. I spent a day helping a brother on a house he is building and was too pooped to walk and then we had a lot of company this week. Okay, enough excuses.
We'll be in California in no time at all. (wait I already am, I'm just waiting for the rest of you.)
Have a great week, Rick
