Barbara,
Once again thank you for the reminders.
I'm off to take my vitamins right now. Thank you also for the suggestions above.
I always like a good reminder.
Have a great day, Rick

Stephanie...on your way home from work today I want you to stop at CVS/Walgreens/ whatever you have and buy one of those S M T W T F S cases so behind each day you put the appropriate vitamins. Do like I do and take it to work with you and leave it by your computer. This morning I dumped out Mondays on kleenex and I know they have to be gone by the time I leave work! Then on Friday I pack it up again and take it home to fill up for the next week. When you are going to be away from your desk, just drop it in your purse. Missey - you gotta take those vits!!!! Barb

Barbara and Rick,
I do enjoy your motivational daily posts! But, I also know that they take a lot of effort. If you guys want a break, I completely understand. I'd be happy to take a week here or there if that is helpful. My travel schedule will get wild beginning in February through June so I'm not sure I can commit to a permanent rotation but I'm willing to help. I like that we have some activity every day and I look forward to checking the board each day. I especially enjoy it when those we haven't heard from in a while pop in and contribute. It's great to catch up with everyone!
Thanks again!
Hugs, Stephanie

Boy, I really need to WORK on my vitamin intake! I missed most of them last week. If I don't prepare my little baggies on Sunday for the week, then I am sunk. So this week I'm going to make sure I get those vitamins in!
I'm definitely thankful for my health and hope that 2008 is better for our MARCHers who have had health issues. I'm not sure I will begin 2008 under 200 pounds, which was my goal, but I know that it will be a much healthier beginning than 2007 and definitely 2006!
Thanks for the inspirational post and I'll work on vitamins as well as enjoyment, love, laughter and being grateful!
Hugs, Stephanie

So MARCHers, Rick and I have been doing this for 3 months now. Do you want us to continue?
I think after this week, we will both take a break for Christmas week and New Year's week.
If you want us to start again the 7th of January, please vote here! I don't mind doing it if you feel like you are getting anything out of it. I feel like it keeps the board active and that is my main goal.
So let us know what your thoughts are. Thanks, Barbara

Live a balanced life--learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some......Robert Fulghum
Well it will be a little hard to match Rick's posts from last week, but since this is my week for motivational posts....I will give it a shot.
So...let's have a fun week leading up to the big day next week! We will keep it light and fun this week - even though we must always consider the choices we are making while having fun! We can draw and paint and sing and dance and play and WORK some every day. Let's all make good choices in the next few days and call it our work. We really need to drink more water in the next few days especially if we are going to snack on a few bad things. At least the water will help "flush" some of those bad choices away! Also make sure you take your vitamins this week - everybody is so busy running around and playing and partying...we can get run down and a good way to not get sick is to make sure we get those all important vitamins in. When you are at the food table at the party...try to eat whatever protein you can find - even summer sausage and meatballs are better choices than fudge and truffles! Try to take a little egg nog or boiled custard without the "ump" in it!!! Take a few stairs this week at work if you have stairs...just that little bit of exercise would be good for you and even though it is cold in most of the country - trying parking a little further away in parking lots so make some exercise your work.
But most of all....enjoy, love, laugh, be thankful for all you have been given this year. And I know some of our MARCHers have not enjoyed great health this year...Mary M and Laura A. especially come to mind...so let's all send them "get well" wishes. Enjoy your day today....hugs to all...Barbara
Topic: RE: What our your favorite Christmas memories?
Mimi,
Thanks for sharing your story. It was heart warming.
The grandson we are raising was born on Christmas Eve almost 10 years ago,
so we had a special present also.
Have a great weekend, Rick

Rick, I'm sorry that your mom isn't doing well. I'll be thinking about her and you as well and sending prayers up that she improves.

Topic: RE: What our your favorite Christmas memories?
like Rick I come from a big family...I have 5 sisters and 1 brother who too is mentally handicapped we grew up with very little money...and 1 year my sister was a cheerleader but my mom could not afford to send her to camp so in exchange for the money she made the uniforms for the whole squad even the mascot uniform which the school used for years....ok so that has nothing to do with christmas but leads me up to this..
one year I wanted these boots that laced up and had buckles on the side they were blue, green and brown i wanted them so bad i could feel them on my feet...my mom would tell me just keep wanting them because there is no way you are getting them, we can't afford them.( they were like $40) Well of course christmas day they were under the tree...i wore those boots until there was no sole left on the bottom.
one of my other favorite memories is with my 1st son...he was due Christmas day..my husband was deployed to Kuwait...and i was alone in El paso on bedrest..thankfully I had some money set aside and I asked my mom if I bought her ticket if she would fly out to help, knowing good and well she had never been on an airplane because she was terrified of flying.. Well Zachary came early...in fact his brithday is tomorrow he'll be 10... my mom flew out...Christmas day we opened the Christmas presents to memaw from Zachary and to myself and Zachary from memaw and my sisters and such...my mom stayed for 3 weeks...and the Christmas tree stayed up that year until Feb 18th...the day my hubby came home and we had our 1st christmas with out 1st child that day. So though it wasn't Dec 25th...it was for sure one of the BEST Christmases ever.
