Topic: RE: MARCHers going to goal!
I do have a container for my vitamins that is divided into days. My issue is remembering to fill it on Sundays!!!! Once I do that, I'm good. Thus far I'm 100% for the week!
It sure is more difficult to walk outside in the winter. I don't blame you for being wary of those slippery sidewalks! That's why Pete wanted a gym membership. He usually walks outside in the good weather. We'll see if he likes it and once spring finally arrives, he can go back to walking outside.
Have a great day!
Hugs, Stephanie
P.S. Loved the pictures of the pugs...they are the cutest!

I am happy today!
This whole process has been about taking one day at a time and learning to be happy with small accomplishments. The journey makes me happy! The destination is what it is and I may get there someday or I may not. Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy all of the things that the journey has given me.
Hugs, Stephanie

Topic: RE: Our STYLZ in surgery!
I'm sending her tons of postive vibes and healing thoughts. Six to eight weeks on crutches doesn't sound like fun at all. But she's a trooper and will make it through!
Hugs, Stephanie

Holy cow! We're getting there. Yay!
I had 22 miles last week. I find I can do more each week so hopefully soon I'll be at full steam.
I hope your surgery goes well and we'll be thinking about you!
Big hugs, Stephanie

Topic: Our STYLZ in surgery!
Send good thoughts and prayers to our surgery buddy and map keeper STYLZ today. She is having surgery this morning on her foot and will be on crutches and in a cast for 6-8 weeks. Thank goodness it isn't major surgery, but actually any surgery is major in my mind!
So send her good thoughts and you have her address on the card list - so let's shower her with get well cards. If you don't have her address - email me on this forum and I will send you her address.
Best wishes STYLZ! Your surgery buddy Barb....

One important source of happiness is the habit of putting off living to some fictional future date. Men and women are constantly making themselves unhappy because in deferring their lives to the future they lose sight of the present and its golden opportunities for rich living.....W. Beran Wolfe
Are you living rich today....or are you putting off living to some fictional future date when you think you will be at goal or when you are sure you won't gain back your weight? Well I think sometimes we make ourselves unhappy because in deferring to the future we do lose sight of the present and its opportunities for rich living. So MARCHers - live rich TODAY. Smile those beautiful smiles those skinnier faces project these days. Hug somebody today...give somebody a compliment today....be proud of yourself today and mostly BE HAPPY today - don't put it off until tomorrow. Tomorrow will bring whatever it is going to bring...if you are at goal and wanting to maintain...making good choices will bring that about. If you have a ways to go...work towards it and again make good choices...but while on those journeys...please be happy if you can. Believe in yourself and live each day to the fullest. You never know when you last day will be and if you put off being happy....UNTIL....you sure are missing out on TODAY! So here's a hug and kiss XOXOXOXO to each of you and a big smile to you also! Barbara

Surprisingly week 9 brought us close to our crossroad.. We're not actually in a town, we're in view of the Route 15 junction. We'll be on this road into Cali! Our walk has been great Marchers, lets keep it moving til we get there.
here's our latest map

Post your miles for the week here
I had great miles on the tread mill and way too much shoveling during 2 snow storms, but the exercise was great. Foot surgery tomorrow so my exercise is coming to a hault for a few weeks, but I'll be here cheering you all on
