Topic: OK - getting jiggy with it!!!
2008 I am GOING TO GET TO GOAL....it probably won't be by my surgery date, but I am going to do it! I have come too far to go backwards.
Unfortunately the scales tell me I have gained a little weight over the past few weeks -about 7 pounds - which is RIDICULOUS. If I was at goal...maybe that wouldn't be the worse case scenario, but now I need 47 pounds to get to goal. So I have decided on January 2 to start the 5-day pouch diet. That is a Wednesday, which means the good eating days (4 & 5 would be on Saturday and Sunday).
Who would like to join me? You can find instructions at 5daypouchtest.com. I have been reading the WLS Grads board and a bunch of those people will be starting on Jan 2. Anybody interested?
Hugs to all...Barbara

Ruth Ann, I'm so proud of you for taking steps to keep on losing! Way to go! And, giving yourself "you" this year is the very best gift I can think of.
Enjoy your Christmas!

Please, oh please tell me it is warmer where we end up than it is here in NH!!!
What a great place to stop for a bit. We're almost there. I went back to the gym and have made it there Sat, Sun and Mon! I'm so happy to be exercising again. It helps me feel more in control of my weight destiny.
Thanks for keeping track of us and I hope you are resting and healing well!
Hugs, Stephanie

Ruth Ann,
I am so glad to see you posting and happy with yourself. I am proud of you for remembering what worked and going back to basics.
Unfortunately I have been bouncing aroud with my weight lately also. My lowest was 175 and I told myself that I would not worry if I went up or down 5 pounds from there. This last month I have bounced up to 184 and I really don't like it. I am eating too much of all of the wrong kinds of foods. I am not going to beat myself up too much until after tomorrow and then I WILL get back on the program. You are such an inspiration to me.
Merry Christmas, Rick
Topic: RE: Surgery Round 2
Sheryl,
I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery! I had a great recovery time - was back to work at 3 weeks after a LBL. Just be sure to stay on top of your iron and b-12 before surgery and during recovery. My red blood cell count is low after my plastics so I am having to take extra iron to boost it back up. It's taking awhile to do that so maybe if you give yourself a boost before surgery you won't experience the same type of thing. I am happy for you that you are able to take this next step in your journey!
Hugs, Robin
