Hiya! I'm sorry you didn't get free rein from the doctor. I'm sure you still need some healing time! I love salmon so much. I think I just enjoy it baked with lemon juice and dill. It's simple but yummy. I also like it baked, the put it in the fridge and let it get cold before turning it into salmon salad. I make it like tuna salad with celery, onion. boiled eggs and mayo. I love to eat it on lettuce. If you come up with something good, let me know. I'll be over for dinner! Food for the day: Breakfast: Kashi Go Lean oatmeal and sliced banana Morning snack: hard boiled egg Lunch: half of a shredded chicken burrito Afternoon snack: small piece of carrot cake - office birthday Dinner: hamburger patty wrapped in lettuce with pickles and onion Snack: NSA Fudgsicle Water: 54 ounces - need more tonight Vitamins: all in Exercise: nothing today My weekend plans include housework, homework, and work-work. That sounds like a lot of work! UGH! I also intend to hit the gym both Saturday and Sunday with hubby. Keep that foot up and enjoy your books! Did you get anything good to read? Hugs, Stephanie

No laughing here. Well, perhaps a small giggle or two! That reflection is sure something, isn't it? It's so difficult to adjust to seeing myself in the mirror these days. I hope you have lots of great moments in the mirror! Have a nice weekend. Stay safe in those predicted storms! Hugs, Stephanie

Hiya Rebeka! I bet you did feel light. And feeling light is such a great feeling! I love being surprised in that way. Especially when it takes a minute to realize what just happened. I'm sure your daughter loves that you can be so active with her. Have a great weekend! Hugs, Stephanie

Stephanie, Great idea for a post. I think my most surprising momement was when I looked in the mirror one day and I was surprised at the slender reflection looking back at me. I thought "no way". It sure felt good to not wince when getting a look at myself in the mirror. Don't tell anyone, but sometime when I look in the mirror after trying on a new pair of pants I think "boy, my butt doesn't look fat in these" Okay, all of you quit laughing now. Have a great day, Rick

today was my 2 week check up.. even the doctor thought it was longer than 2 weeks :\ i dont know what I was expecting, maybe her to say ok you can drop the crutches and run out of here? nope... nothing.. she changed the dressing, said I can change it on my own for the next 3 weeks and she'll see me again then. I said.. can I do anything til then? she said, read a book? rest that foot missy! my only change is that in 2 weeks I can start flexing my big toe manually, holding it for 4-5 seconds, doing that a few times a day, that should subtract TONS of calories huh? lol I stopped at Macy's after my appt, HUGE sale, when I got there the parking lot was layers upon layers of ice, but I went in anyway.. My thought is I'm going back to work in 1.5 weeks, I need to get use to ice on the ground. besides, I can put some weight on my foot so its not like I'm balancing on 2 crutches with no extra support... stopped at the library for a couple books, I guess I'll take her advice! I realized I have a lot of wild salmon in the freezer so I took a packet out and am poking around for recipes, does anyone have a salmon recipe they enjoy? I'm always open for suggestions heres my food day so far.... morning coffee driving to the dr. aaaahhhhhh (dunkins, sf coconut syrup, x-milk) breakfast - 3 peanut butter balls lunch - 2 peanut butter balls and a green apple snack - a slice of cranberry, pecan bread (I bet this would make yummy french toast!) dinner - 3 oz. lemon pepper salmon snack - green apple and peanut butter vitamins - got them in water - working on my second 32 oz bottle exercise - shopping on crutches! So whats everyones weekend plans? anything exciting, getting some exercise in, relaxing from a long week? let us know!

Mine was the first time I realized I had RUN on my own accord. My daughter got away from me on her little bike on our street and I just ran after her without thinking. I had run half a block before I realized it and I was so shocked to find not only that I had run, but that I didn't even FEEL it, i didn't need to stop, i wasn't huffing and puffing. I felt so LIGHT. hugs

Maybe it was because I hadn't had a protein shake in like...forever. It made me so sick for about 45 minutes, like if I had eaten cake! Shoulda had the cake!!! LOL, JK. At the end of the day I got off of it I went to my girlfriends and she had made shrimp ceviche! I had some, very little and I was full. Nights are hard for me, all the time is hard for me, who am I trying to kid? I have my monthly visitor now, I had gone without for over 10 years, I am so emotional and lonely. Sorry to let it all hang out.

Good morning MARCHers! I was reflecting this morning (as I put on my size large sweater that I love!) on just how far this journey has taken us. I started thinking about all of the WOW moments that I've experienced. It made me wonder which WOW moment meant the most to each of you! Share with us your favorite WOW. Of course, the WOWs will continue. We aren't done WOWing the world just yet! Also, I know that for me, there are tons of WOWs that mean a lot to me so it will be difficult to pick just one! Here's one of mine: I remember the first time I actually LIKED a photograph of myself. It was taken in July of 2006. As you can imagine, I've changed even more since then. But that photo sticks in my mind. I remember looking at it and thinking...who is that person??? I've had many more moments of wondering who is in the mirror since then. But that July photo is special because it was the first time I actually started to realize that I truly was getting smaller! Hugs, Stephanie
