Yourself! Fitness
Hi Guys...
Now that my tummy doesn't hurt anymore, and Im feeling good Ive been thinking about more exercise. Ive always sucked at excersising... gotta do it this time!
Just wondering if anyone here has heard of Yourself! Fitness. It's a game for XBOX, Playstation, I think there is also a PC version.
I LOVE IT!!!
You play it through your TV on your game system... it's a virtual personal trainer. Her name is Maya. You start with a test to guage your fitness level. Then there are all sorts of options. You pick the length of workout you want 15, 30, 45, 1 hour etc... then there are all sorts of options, like Upper body, lower body, cardio, fat burning... each work out is specialized to what you choose. They also have Yoga. You pick the background, the music....if you have any equipment like weights, steps, or a fitness ball you can also notify Maya and she will incorporate them into your workout. During the workout you will be questioned if its too hard, too easy or good-- and the level will adjust as needed.
It also has an eating progran, you choose how many calories you want daily and it gives you meal plans with recipes.
Its soo much fun, and so much variety for one excersise video/game. No doing the same thing over and over.
Im gonna start working out to it tomorrow again!

Any other good exercise ideas???? I want to get carmen Electra's Aerobic strip tease--- ive heard it's a good workout and fun
Sounds like a cool program! Sounds like it could be fun. Mentioned in the food for today post, that I started to the gym today! I do have light hand weights at home and some elastic rope type things. I use them some too. I have always like the Richard Simmons tapes, but they arent for everyone and don't do alot on strength training or target areas. But they are fun.
Good luck with your exercise.
I had not heard of this but will certainly check it out.
Thanks, I so far have been doing a lot of walking although I hurt my foot at the end of last week and it's very painful. Today was my third day of not walking, if it doesn't get better very soon I'll probably go get it x-rayed, but it feels like I just pulled something.
I'd replace walking with some weightlifting but I havn't been cleared for full excerise yet and don't want to pu****

I joined Jazzercise a month before the surgery, went about 3 times a week. I've gone twice in the last week (today is my 3 week anniversary from surgery). I am doing the lower impact version for a bit, and avoiding the tummy exercise portion of the floor workout.
I'm thinking by next week I should be able to do the full workout without reservations... I'll ask my surgeon, as I see him for my 1 month checkup next week.
