EGD was a breeze!

Ok, I am home from my preop EGD, the last of the hoops I jump thru. I have to say, this was the easiest thing so far! They started an IV, gave me a little Versed and Fentanyl and I went to sleep. Woke up about 20 minutes later (according to my mom) and felt fine. Didn't feel like I had anything done. Drank a sprite, got dressed, and walked out. The nurse laughed at me, said they normally put people in a wheelchair. No thanks! Anyway, for anyone afraid of this procedure, put your mind to ease. The stangest part was the little plastic thing they put in your mouth right before you go to sleepy land to keep your mouth open for the scope. Truly a piece of cake! (mine anyway) Marcie
