Joining the lucky ones on 3/20...

Hi there, I'm Kris. I'm 35 and live in Western MA. I'll be having my surgery with David Lautz at Brigham & Women's in Boston. I have 2 kids who are 13 months and 7 years old. I have HMO blue which is supposed to be simple to deal with, but I'm still waiting for my official approval. I wish I could say that I'm lucky and havn't developed obesity related illnesses yet, but I have hypertension, high cholesterol, sleep apnea and weight bearing arthritis. Blech. I weigh 278 now and I'm 5'6.5". I think that puts my BMI around 45. I've jumped through all my hoops and now I'm just waiting for the day to arrive (as well as word of insurance approval which I'm assuming is going to go through fine). Looking forward to seeing us all reach our goal in another 19 months or so. Kris
