Hi I'm new to this board and looking for people at the same stage as me 3/14/2006. looking though this it doesn't seem like anyone is out there. just want to share what going on, need help getting back into good habits and seeing if anyone else wants to share.  in the past year I have gain about 20 lbs, I know weigh 140, I know this is still a good weight however in my mind I have been so bad, and fell like a rock of the program, no vitimans, little protien, and drinking diet coke again. I need help getting back on track!  I would love to hear what you all think. thanks

Hi Jackie,

I'm sorry but our board has become very slow. We tried to stay active until about a year ago then we petered out. I still check in most days to see if there is a breath of life left in us "Marcher's".
I can relate to having fallen back into bad habits. I don't have any good excuses. I have also had a regain the last year. I still am pretty good about taking my suppliments and drinking water. I don't walk as much as I used to and that has also had an effect on my weight. The other problem is that my body will pretty much let me eat anything without any ill effects. I miss those good old dumping days when my body would remind me who was in charge.

I'm glad you stopped in. Let me know if there is any way in which I can be of support to you.

Life is great, Rick

Hi Jackie!

My surgery date is 3/16/06
Life has been pretty good! I had a baby. Gained 24 pounds with her. Lost it all right away. I am exactly at the weight I was when I got pregnant so pretty much i stayed the same. I can eat anything and everything. I haven't taken my vitamins in I dont know how long and protein? What is that? LOL
I need help too. *sigh*

Hi, I'm also checking in after a looooonnnnnngggg time away. I'm not off track, just looking to see how everyone else has faired these past years.  I was operated on 3/21/2006 and I am currently still weighing between 128 and 130. Don't pretty much go over this although I did have problems where I went down to 115 and thought I was dying. I also can eat a variety of foods, however, I cannot surpass the portion sizes meant for us after this operation, else I pay dearly. I am terrible at drinking water, and recently have fallen off track with my vitamins. I was never able to take protein drinks as they caused me to feel bloated and sick to my stomach so I just gave up drinking them. I am extremly deficient in Vitamin D and extremely anemic to the point that I have had several treatments of Iron infusions (this usually lasts for a couple of months, before I have to start the treatments all over again).  That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I will try to stay in touch as I really feel better when I come back in to see if anyone else experiences things that I do and how they resolve issues that come up.  Thanks for listening and reading,

Maria

Hi Maria, Thanks for the update info, I too have done ok keeping the weight off I was down to 110 after a blockage that almost killed me, and I too have a bad problem with being anemic, right now I trying to take in iron though pills but they are talking infusions, I have had 2 blood transfusions but I too have been bad with taking my vitamins, but now that my levels are so bad so I'm taking them again, I'm now drinking my water and I'm trying to take the protien shakes again. I'm at 141 right now which is the highest I have ever been since my rny, but my body seems to like this weight, I liked 125-130 but I'm not going to go crazy trying to get back there. I'll keep you updated too, it help me to know what others go though too.

Thanks Jackie

Hi Marchers! :)
I haven't been checking in for quite a while now.  And now I am gaining weight back :(  I guess I came here to see if any other Marchers were struggling like me?  And get some support to get back on track...

I took a job at Starbucks a year ago and I've gained 30 lbs. since.  Carbs are my weakness, and all those frappuccinos and pastries... sampling them out, and not wanting to waste things/ throw them away...  I found that I can eat just about anything without much punishment (except sometimes an hour of non-stop burping, which doesn't seem to deter me the next time I want to eat the same thing).

I am going to try the 5 day pouch test, see if that gets me going back in the right direction.  And I need to quit Starbucks, LOL :)

Hi there

I had Surgery 3/13/2006    Lost 100 pounds and having trouble keeping it off now.  Trying to get my protien in everyday, and I still dump if I eat sugar or carbs...  I just cant seem to lose anymore weight.

I do good with my vitimins,

I am anemic and have low Thyroid, so will be starting treatment for that at my next Dr appointment  :(
